By the way, was the supposed contents of the tape not true? By far the Akans of Ghana are in the majority. They produce the bulk of the resources of the country.Are they getting their fair share- resources, appointments in government? Is there balance in the scheme of things in the country? Why is it a crime when people state the facts that they are? What are your government doing about it instead of being political about it?

It is almost funny how these two criminal gangs, marauding as political parties, operate.

In the same way that the NPP randomly exaggerates and makes unnecessary propaganda about the downsides of the Nkrumah govt, on non-issues such as the PDA and the justified jailing of traitors and terrorists, so also does the NDC exaggerate about the obvious and innate ethnocentric weakness of the NPP.

If I were an NDC member like this Jamal character, I would not mention anything about tribe at all because in my honest opinion, the Mahama govt has shown more than any other govt in this country that it is the most tribalistic in terms of favoring Northerners. Never have we seen anything as bad as what is currently going on in this country in terms of open bias in favor of Northerners at all levels of govt administration. It is almost sickening.

In a way, it makes me feel bad only for NPPs Bawumia, who I consider to be the one and possibly, only decent and intelligent politician left in the political landscape of Ghana.

It seems that such a brilliant guy will miss the opportunity of assuming a significant political role in this country because he will be a victim of the ethnic cross-fire.

It is on record that the meeting in which Osafo Maafo made those disparaging remarks, was held among "NPP party elders" meaning, elders from all the regions. Now, the question is if the elders who met that day came from all the regions, what will force Osafo Maafo to insult these people right in their face with those stupid statement?

Commonsense should be used anytime something like this come to the fore. Those who are pushing this tapegate are the ones who are not thinking outside the box. I am urging Baba Jamal, Ablakwa, Fred Agbenyo and co to use their brains. They should keep their foolishness to themselves.

Bawumia should not condemn anything because NDC had doctored the tape to score a political point. Last week, Fred Agbenyo said on National TV that NDC have spies and they know what Nana Addo is doing in his bedroom. People should think about such a statement coming from a party insider. Is it good?

NDC gov't and party should condemn the looting and thievery of Ghana's resources by the Mahama-led NDC gov't that has caused the clergy, traditional authorities, CSO's, our development partners, children, the business community, farmers, the health professionals, teachers, retirees, political parties, etc, etc all complaining about lack of equity and fairness in the distribution of the national cake in the development and growth of the country.
Baba Jamal should condemn that level of thievery totally unprecedented in the annals of governance in this country, and has become an existential threat to the country as a result of bad governance and bad leadership.
The Mahama-led NDC gov't should stop the thievery of Ghana's resources whilst preaching ethnocentrism to divide us whilst they steal Ghana into the doldrums.
Baba Jamal should be bold and condemn NDC's thievery fiercely and campaign for the removal of his gov't at the ballot box in 2016, if he's honest, principled and has any smidgen of integrity within his being.

Baba Jamal a northerner like you is an MP in an Akan area, Akwatia to be precise, can that be said of an Akan person standing and winning election in say Volta or the Northern areas?

In Ghana, the only free minded and accommodative regions are the Akan areas, Ashanti/Eastern and then the Gas Greater Accra region.

Which of the two parties are practically tribalistic and show by deeds? Which of the two brought tribal slogan "nyebroism" in the Ghana armed forces and which at certain period from Head of State to the messenger were all from certain tribe in the country?

Take critical look at the current political appointees and the civil servants and honestly judge which of the two parties are indeed pragmatically tribal?

Ghana is sitting on ethnocenric timing bomb and the more we allow people to speak out their minds on the issue the better to cool down.

All state scholarships are today shockingly the preserved rights for only students from the north and partly Volta, why?

Why is for instance, SADA a national institution formed for projects and developments for only the 3 nortern regions, Volta and shockingly northern part of the Brong areas which are northern dominant areas excluding the Ahafos who are Ashantes?

It is only the NDC who resort to ethnic exploitation to win power. They have even managed to set other Akan tribes against Asantes. It is sad that after so many years of peaceful co-existence with our brothers from the north, today they look at us as if we are at war with them. They have brainwashed them into thinking that Asantes have victimized them and that their woes in life are wholly attributed to Asantes.

Unfortunately many of us have become awakened to the evil pervasive mentally of these people just recently and I think it's not Asantes or Akans rather who will be the losers in the long run. Time will tell.

All Akans who held high gov't or public positions have been axed from their jobs, only to be replaced by Ewes and other tribes. Every Ghanaians must be given equal opportunity for employment provided he/she has the requisite qualification or certificates for the job. The NDC doesn't agree to this; they believe Akans have dominated everything in Ghana and sought to neutralise them by their wicked plot. Rawlings and his AFRC/P-NDC tormented Akans, by confiscating their businesses and properties. In the end, what happened; the Akan tribes people have shown resilience in spirit; they're back on their feet doing what they can do best for themselves, friends and family.
