Mahama to hold talks with two African leaders over Boko Haram

President John Dramani Mahama, in his capacity as the Chairman of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, ECOWAS, will on Monday hold discussions with President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea and President Dennis Sassou-N'Guesso of Congo.

The meeting will focus on the fight against Boko Haram in Nigeria and the ongoing collaboration between ECOWAS and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS).

The two visiting Presidents, who will arrive in Accra today, are representatives of the ECCAS, which includes Chad and Cameroon.

At their last meeting in Yaoundé, Cameroun, the Heads of State and Government of ECCAS expressed appreciation to the African Union for the deployment of the Multinational Joint Force against Boko Haram.

They also mandated the Presidents of Congo and Equatorial Guinea to discuss further strategies and common issues with the Chair of the ECOWAS Authority.
