We know of many cases where the rapist kills the victim after the sex act to bury the evidence. No rapist would want to be caught and arrested, prosecuted and jailed.

The girl thought very fast and smart. While in the sex act, the rapist was vulnerable because of the enjoyment but after the sex, the girl would have been easily overpowered. to me, the girl did the right thing at the right time.

The law is clear on stautory rape, and it is on the side of this 14 year old. There is no discretion in this matter. Even if the girl agreed to the sex, in the eyes of the law, she was raped. That applies to any such sexual encounter between someone under 18, who is not married and another adult.

Even if this man had survived the attack, the girl could have filed a report, and he would have been charged with statutory rape.

It is very rare for a Ghanaian woman to kill someone with a knife. This implies that, the lady in question has a history of using knives or there is a pattern. The police will not be interested in the rape but concentrate on a crime which has been committed which is murder. The lady is going to find it extremely difficult for her version of events to be believed .
