I think people shd stop arguing over the price of the vehicles and start worrying about the message we are being given by a government which doesn't know its priorities.
So if all this BOOTY is going to the Stars for placing 2nd in AFCON, what would the gov't be giving the team had they won the Cup? An airplane each??

In 2010, the Black Stars placed 2nd after losing to Egypt in the finals. What was their reward then? And why can't we tailor the reward of the 2015 team to be commensurate with the 2010 team? After all it was still silver medals they had then as now.
School buildings are crumbling, health facilities lack basic amenities, roads are deteriorating, ordinary citizens are barely making it month to month, and all the gov't does is to keep pumping money into the Black Stars? Not even into the whole sports sector, but into a group of 25 soccer players who if given the option would be patriotic enough to receive far less by way of reward?

Come again, Ghanaians. Is this what we ask for from a govt that thinks it is responsible enough? There is so much corruption in every sphere of our nation's fabric, that people are reaping where they haven't sown, and then throw soccer in our way as a means of distraction. Shouldn't we be investing these taxpayer dollars into our crumbling infrastructure?

I weep for Ghana, the once shining jewel of Africa that has now been turned into a den of thieves in high places.
