I am glad someone has raised this issue. Interfering in the currency market and an overvalued currency distorts market performance particularly when we do not have a sophisticated economy. In a way, it does make our little export products and services un-competitive in the global market. I see no reason why the govt has embarked on such tactics rather that leaving it to the market to determine the exchange rate. Good on you Mr Thompson!
