If some politicians are involved in the importation, why will gov't ban the process?
Gov't is run by human beings , who are not willing to make the institutions work.
I am sorry but the rot is everywhere.

even without monopoly Ghanaians are suffering in the hands of Ghacem over high prices. What will happen if Ghacem become the sole producer in Ghana? Beware Ghanaians.

did u forget that ghana practices free market economy? if u want to avoid competition reduce the price of your product and make it more attractive, be informed that there are more competitors coming soon.

Ghacem thieves. The same way Ghacem resisted Diamond cement which is better than theirs and cheaper. You think Ghanaians are fools. The coming of Diamond, Dangote and the others have brought healthy competition in the cement industry and this has stabilized prices. All you want is monopoly so that you can exploit us.

How is it possible that Imported Cement from China and other countries whose minimum daily salary and costs of production exceed that of Ghana would have to pay for shipping cost and probably, pays import duty as well in Ghan have to compete with stupid and exploitative firm like Ghacem in terms of pricing. It is rather better that Ghanaians boycott Ghacem cement and and even ask the government to close down the company. I will never ever buy Ghacem cement until their selling price would be far cheaper than the imported one.
