A man is driving down a deserted stretch of highway, when he notices a
sign out of the corner of his eye. It says SISTERS OF MERCY HOUSE
OF PROSTITUTION 10 MILES. He thinks it was just a figment of his
imagination and drives on without a second thought. Soon, he sees
another sign which says SISTERS OF MERCY HOUSE OF
PROSTITUTION 5 MILES and realizes that these signs are for real.
When he drives past a third sign saying SISTERS OF MERCY HOUSE
OF PROSTITUTION NEXT RIGHT, his curiosity gets the best of him
and he pulls into the drive.

On the far side of the parking lot is a somber stone building with a
small sign next to the door reading SISTERS OF MERCY. He climbs the
steps and rings the bell. The door is answered by a nun in a long
black habit who asks "What may we do for you, my son?" He answers "I
saw your signs along the highway, and was interested in possibly doing
business."

"Very well, my son. Please follow me."

He is led through many winding passages and is soon quite disoriented.
The nun stops at a closed door, and tells the man "Please knock on
this door." He does as he is told and this door is answered by another
nun in a long habit and holding a tin cup. This nun instructs "Please
place $50 in the cup, then go through the large wooden door at the end
of this hallway." He gets $50 out of his wallet and places it in the
second nun's cup. He trots eagerly down the hall and slips through the
door, pulling it shut behind him. As the door locks behind him, he
finds himself back in the parking lot, facing another small sign: GO
IN PEACE, YOU HAVE JUST BEEN SCREWED BY THE SISTERS
OF MERCY.

These children are enjoying free education .I personally don't understand why this irresponsible,inhuman can be a president. How many presidents have come from the Greater Accra region ? We have 2 presidents and more than 3 vice presidents from these three regions and yet we sit in Ghana and say they are uneducated. The poor cocoa farmers from Ashanti,Brong Ahafo,Western and other regions children are suffering. They can't afford to pay their children's school fees and So-called Mahama's dozen and half children are enjoying free education. There should be equal distribution of the national cake. If Kwame Nkrumah was bold enough to introduce free education to these regions,then someone else should be able to stand up and scrap that free education system . Look at Mahama's ministers, most of them come from these three regions . Mamama's brother is among the richest people in the country and yet still their off-springs are enjoying free education. As we have poor people in those regions so do we have poor citizens in the rest of the regions .After more than 50 years of enjoying free education which Mahama is included, it's time for our leaders to be bold enough to stand up and abolish that system. Ghana has done a lot for these three regions and we can't continue anymore.

And would somebody just remind me, what do these salvation business people contribute to the public good?
I remember as a kid treking along with other kids to the Suhum Anglican School for free cheese contributed from USAID surplus cheese program.
Nkrumah being as visionary a leader as they come saw the need for a long term educational program for the country and brought all the various religious schools under the Ghana Educational System.
As certain as the sun rises from the east those free cheese program were cut off! It was done just to punish the country for Nkrumah's dare and vision for his educational program and country's development.Now we got one of own admonishing us against our self interest.

Folks, the development and success of any nation, and to a lesser our persons, depend on how contending needs are prioritized.

To quote from a great hymnal of hope " yes we can."
