The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

The locals are complaining because they are suffering -- when the situation changes they will praise the government. The media is supposed to be the mouth piece of the people - when the people have what they need -- light, water etc., they will not go to the media to complain. The tyranny is from the administration -- people are tired of the non performance from the government and the never ending corruption in the country. Ayariga, you can't gag the media -- you deliver and the media will be quiet because the people will not complain.

Ghana has been the political and economical leader of sub-Saharan African countries. We have Natural and Mineral Resources and Man power. So why can't Ghana strive to achieve it's potential? Why should any leader of Ghana be content with the state of Ghana's Economical and Social status? Why should any Leader of Ghana accepts the level of corruption and the hardship? Ghana could and should be a economical power player in Africa. Foolish political Leaders think we should accept what we have because we are better than some other African countries. Yes, Ghana may seem a "Paradise" to outsiders because they do have not have their children the JSS system; they do not attend the local hospitals, they do not travel in trotros, and they are not civil servants or factory workers. I am wondering when these ministers from the North would have their fellow northerners in their minds. Our northern brothers and sisters are the least educated people in Ghana and their regions are the most deprived places in the country yet, their leaders in government do not care.

The pastors will quote "touch not my anointed" whiles robbing the people in the name of Jesus. On Sunday, you are the one they will preach instead of Jesus. You will be given all the devilish names, cursed and a host of negative invocations will be said upon your head.

We live in a country where we celebrate thieves and vilify the good ones. Of course there are good journalists and there are good politicians but the overwhelming majority of them are all diabolical including the journalists. The truth hurts but it must be said as it is. For a lie to stay in office for 20years doesn't make it the truth. Our journalists much change gear and engage in national building issues rather than asking stupid questions. What will a nation benefit from a radio or TV station who give their platform for people to come and insult a sitting President or an aspirant opposition leader? And we call it good jounalism? I applaud the media fraternity mightily for their undying spirit, for their tremendous work, and the great and excellent steps they take to improve and excel in addressing the information gap, to educate the citizenry and to hold Ghana's political elite ultimately accountable to the citizenry.
It is a very tough job in Africa and most especially in Ghana and under the Mahama-led NDC gov't, which has it's origins and antecedents in despotism, in treason and therefore have a mindset and outlook on governance which left to their own devices, would be perpetually plugged in the culture of impunity, culture of silence, culture of propaganda, culture of lawlessness, culture of violence, culture of deceit reminiscent of the dark ages.
Indeed, the media fraternity against all odds has pushed and continues to push to inform the citizenry and keep them engaged, and it can only be a good thing and get better, because what it has done for the citizenry is to expose the propaganda of the Mahama-led NDC gov't for what it is, and the likes of Mahama Ayariga for who they are.
Mahama Ayariga is talking about paradise to outsiders. I think it would be fair for him to tell Ghanaians which outsiders he is talking about, who they are, what they do, and what kind of paradise they see Ghana, because the last time we checked, that paradise was one in which businesses were relocating out of the country in droves, businesses were collapsing in droves, health infrastructure of acceptable international standards were non-existent and therefore had the likes of members of his gov't seeking answers to their healthcare needs OUTSIDE the country, infrastructure such as roads had become highways of death, the same outsiders graded his gov't and the country especially the capital where the seat of gov't is located and the likes of Mahama Ayariga have their offices as one of the most filthiest and dirtiest in the world, lack of electric power has served to blanket the country in darkness akin to the era of the stone age, etc, etc.
Had it not been for the excellent job of our media fraternity, the likes of this character called Mahama Ayariga a self-confessed propagandist, who believes the citizenry should not be told the truth because it makes his work, and that of his gov't difficult would keep the citizenry in the dark, whilst the country retrogresses and they loot their way into prosperity.
Had it not been for the indefatigable work of our media fraternity, facts which shows clearly that this Mahama-led NDC gov't is steadily, progressively and speedily taking this country back to the mid-80's by their mismanagement, incompetence and thievery would not be brought to the attention of the citizenry.
Ghanaians are patently grateful to the media fraternity for continuing to keep the citizenry informed and engaged lest the country is completely buried under the excruciating weight of propaganda, incompetence, mismanagement and thievery. Kudos to the media fraternity and very excellent job.
Could Mahama Ayariga come again on his propaganda piece of Ghana being paradise to outsiders again, and most importantly account for the Afcon funds, because Ghanaians who gave him their taxes for the tournament demand this accountability.

Since when has opinions of outsiders become and indicator of development? Can't citizens question government officials anymore? Well what i think is that the ability of citizens to question performance of our officials should be seen as a mark of development. We need to be transparent and accountable to our citizens. We can't keep quiet when things are going bad. Questioning does not mean peoples efforts are not being recognised. We are not undermining anyone.

Why are you so ticked off because you were asked to make the 2015 AFCON budget public? Is it your private money? Do you understand being accountable to the people? It's our money but not yours, NDC'S nor your family money. Be humble enough and respect the poor tax payers who have supported your entire life. Everything you've came from the poor taxpayers. You've done nothing financially to help yourself. Government pay for your entire education. You're a lawyer, go into your own practice practice and stop depending on the poor taxpayer. You're nothing but a scavenger, a parasite and a leech. I dare you to create your own business, hire Ghanaians, pay your taxes, make money and depending on our poor government for a lving. Enough financial dependency on our poor nation is enough. You're useless to the nation so far as financial contribution is enough but yet you've the audacity to insult the very poor taxpayer you depend on. Go to hell. I blame the corrupt incompetent weak Maharaj who has created an enabling curry evironment for a parasite like you to enrich yourself at the expense of the poor taxpayers with impunity and talk bulls hit to us as well. Yes,it's true that Ghana is a "paradise" to foreigners.Because most people in position of authority in the Country favors the person from outside the Country over the Ghanaian Citizens. The reason is twofold.First because most officials are Stomach Centered and therefore feels more free to conduct "business" with the foreigner who is aware he is not qualified to have the chance of whatever,but because of Bribery and Corruption.And secondly,lack of patriotism,a Sense of National Direction and therefore,giving out all what we have to outsider who is not a Citizen,including the Hen that laid the Golden Egg for a title and pittance to one person. Do the Ghanaian authority in public office,including the traditional office (Chiefs) has a Sense of Direction ? No !
