The president has been saying that he tried to introduce electronic payment and acquisition systems into the public sector {to reduce human contact with cash} in his effort to fighting corruption, but lamented that the systems were often resisted.

This has become so monotonous that Ghanaians are beginning to wonder whether the president is actually serious and interested in fighting corruption as he claims, or it's just another crocodile's tears to deceive Ghanaians into believing that he is making an effort, while the government and its cronies amass billions of dollars at the expense of this struggling HIPC nation.
Why should Ghanaians hire a president that can't even introduce an electronic system successfully into the public sector to save us from criminals masquerading as civil servants? Mr. Mahama must be seen to be fighting corruption with all his might rather than go on lamenting helplessly like the rest of us who hired him to do the job.

Our Police Service personnel used to be given some benefits in order not to be attracted by temptations of receiving bribes or being compromised.These benefits seem to have been removed.They are literally very poor and even motor vehicles for their official duties are almost not there. They use taxis to arrest offenders. Some provide their own uniforms to some extent. Check it out ; they buy their own shoes etc. We have turned them into criminals. It is rumoured that recruitment of men and women into the Police Service is in some instances based on payment of bribes. I have no evidence to support this but I hope others on the ground may support some of these allegations/rumours.
Police officers turned robbers may no longer surprise the odd Ghanaian. Would it?. God Help us. Amen

First it was the airport officials having armed robbers as their cohorts. And now the police are actually using public vehicles to indulge in robbery.

While the IGP keep cozying up to Mahama his subordinates do realize that and takes advantage to behave as they like. The problem in Ghana today is that everyone wants to own a house regardless of how they own it and so all means are allowed and this goes on from the top of government to the lowest public official.
