Surely it is the responsibility of the Minster of health and Trade minster to team together and think of strategies of creating jobs and motivating our youths . Pity this initiative had to come from US embassy. Do Ghana embassy across the globe play key role in other countries. No because many countries have all these strategies firmly in place and they do not need outsiders to tell only advice to further improve their serivces. Minister of Education is never proactive and she always send that deputy minister of hers who himself from a brokem background has no clue as to the the frabic of society. Talks by heart as if he is he is having a loose bowels. These embassies have been in Ghana for a long time and have observed the lack of progress in the educational system whioch is causing the youth into stealing and engaging in all sort of crime. The blame lies squarely at the doors of the Minister of Education . She claims she travels but never bring any thing back for the youths of Ghana. What a shame.

US embassy rather assist Mr Otabil to revamp the dying GNA. He is helpless and cannot manage the agency, the task is beyond the man. simply he cannot manage it. can you believe at this time and age Mr Otabil has replaced air conditions in the newsroom with ceiling fans? Under his administration GNA is no longer operating 24/7? GNA has no functional operation vehicles? GNA has no Management Board? the resemblance of a board are under his control? Can afford to go for Xmass holidays in UK for 30 days? He takes huge allowances? He has set up fraudulent school and takes money from innocent students? NAB must investigate the status of the GNA Media School. GNA needs help and the media landscape will suffer. Mr Otabil cannot manage affairs. under his administration over the past two years five staffs have resigned? National Accreditation Board says he cannot use the designation Dr yet he insist in using the title? "Distribution" of Honorary Doctorate Degrees
CONFERMENT OF HONORARY DEGREES:
The National Accreditation Board (NAB) has noticed with concern the spate of conferment of honorary degrees and professorial titles on some important personalities by some unaccredited institutions, accredited institutions unqualified to award degrees on their own or other institutions with doubtful credentials.
The conferment of honorary degrees is the prerogative of degree awarding institutions so mandated. Therefore accredited private tertiary institutions operating under the mentorship of chartered, degree-awarding universities are not qualified by themselves to confer honorary degrees. Any such institutions that do so are in contravention of Regulation 19 (1) of the Tertiary Institutions (Establishment and Accreditation) Regulation, 2010 (L.I. 1984) which states that:
An accredited institution shall not issue certificates or award its own degrees, diplomas or honorary degree without a charter granted to it for that purpose by the President.
There are also instances where some foreign institutions confer such honorary degrees, particularly doctorate degrees on prominent personalities with intent to legitimize and popularize the operations of the institutions in Ghana, and thereby seek to attract unsuspecting students to enroll in them. It must be made clear that universities and other tertiary education institutions which are unaccredited by the relevant authorities in their home countries cannot be authorized to award any degree- regular or honorary in Ghana.
The National Accreditation Board wishes to caution the general public and advise that distinguished personalities invited for such awards should verify the accreditation status and degree-awarding powers of the institutions that seek to confer on them honorary degrees to avoid any embarrassing fallouts.
For the avoidance of doubt the following institutions have neither been accredited in Ghana nor in their home countries by the recognized accrediting bodies:
• Day Spring Christian University of Mississippi
• Pan African Clergy Council and Bible College
• Global Centre for Transformational Leadership
• World Council for Evangelical Clergy

Vida thank you for this. I felt the same when l read it. This is the Ghana Noise Agency that we know. The Agency in the last 15 years lost its way badly making the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Ironically it is rather in the last three years that it seems to be on track. Bad workers will leave when they feel the heat and good workers will leave for better jobs. Both are good. Gentleman change is uncomfortable so you better get used to it. Do you think the agency needs a 24 hour service when all you do is send text files with no radio script of video files? The pull him down approach has made most of you poor at the agency and you must grow up.
Surely it is the responsibility of the Minster of health and Trade minster to team together and think of strategies of creating jobs and motivating our youths . Pity this initiative had to come from US embassy. Do Ghana embas ...
