They pulled down the then Flag staff house because Nkrumah lived there; only to rebuild the same place with a 419 loan from India. These Dankwa/ Busia’s have sold everything we have and have contributed nothing.

What do they say yes?
Per Diem YES
Cocaine Trade YES
Wee Smoking YES
Womanising YES
Insults and Backbiting YES
Shallow Litigation YES
Boycotting YES
Selling state Assets YES
Stealing State assets YES
Demonstration and Protest YES
Their headquarters is an “abattoir” now; where they butcher themselves in the name of power. Ooooh !!! What is wrong with the chemical constituents that form the brain of these Dankwa/ Busia’s? Is there no elderly among them? Or did their fathers died with all the sense which will guide them today? Well a decorated monkey remains a monkey ; like father like son. None have morals .They behave like ostriches pretending all is fine when it is in their favour but cannot stand their opponents when the ball changes hand. How on earth can they end up in a hair dressing salon for a loan? They are so lazy, dull witted and incompetent, majority of them finished school with no certificates and cannot even remember which school they attended. INCREDBLE !!!
Everything they know about economics is buying and selling. Creativity has eluded them; they only result to insult when they are at their wits end. “PATAPAA” is a common characteristics of them to cover their shameful silly behaviour. Their silly self-esteemed and endemic mental slavery, which was handed down to them by their forefathers, is what is still holding this country aback. When thinkers are trying to fix problems, all you can see these sons of anarchist doing is manufacturing how to destroy.

Democratic practices in Ghana is turning the wheels of development backwards. The stance of the opposition in the quest for Ghana's development needs re-writing. I say this because anytime the Danquah Busia tradition gets the chance they want to make everybody/thing to understand that Ghana is not yet independent. This is a folly of the proponents. The whole word knows that Ghana became independent on the 6th March 1957 and it is celebrated as such. The whole world knows that one man called Dr Kwame Nkrumak made this possible. No amount of lies, twisting of the facts can change what everybody/thing know to be the fact.
Everything build on lies does not stand the test of time. Everything base on lies is not tried and tested. The opposition shaping of the Danquah's destiny is not pleasant to God his maker. God in his wisdom design everything to suit a purpose. Danquah must die to make his name popular so be it. Why blame Nkrumah who made this possible? After all his plans as trumpeted to make Ghana what he dreamed failed he must die through the means he did to be popular. Now this has made his followers to think that they can make Ghana ungovernable in his name? This stand can only justify the accusations against Danquah as coup plotter to be true and true. Take this!

At the time (1949-1950), Nkrumah was arguing with the Colonial Power about "suffrage without property" to ensure that Ghanaians without property were not excluded and thus disenfranchised from the political process. When this was flatly refused by the governor and his henchmen, Nkrumah organised civil ("positive") action and called for civil disobedience to force the hand of the colonial administration which caused his arrest and imprisonment with other members of his CPP.
JB Danquah suppported the other side at the time and stood to gain if property was a condition for suffrage. Interestingly when Nkrumah forced the election of the Legislative Assembly (for the first time) in 1951, the CPP won most sits (over 65%) and UGCC led by Danquah lost so badly that they had to disband the very unpopular UGCC.
Nana Addo needs to clarify his description here and to explain the exact context in which the "speech" that he claims to quote from was made by JB Danquah.
We also need to be very careful how we present history and try to get our message across. Ghanaians are intelligent and educated and can also access historical facts and so politicians (and everyone else) need to be very careful with their utterances.

Akuffo-Addo is actually insane and mad to suggest that he is forgiving the CPP. If somebody tries to kill the elected leader of a country and the person ends up in jail and dies from natural causes, why should Akuffo-Addo forgive anybody? I will not blame Akkufo-Addo for relishing the promise of "property-owning-democracy," because he is very naive about international political-economy of development, and the intricate/obtuse relationships b/n democracy and property.
As a brief primer, democratic capitalism is a misnomer, indeed, they cannot co-exist, and as a matter of fact, they hate each other.
While "capitalism" in its unbridled form undermines democracy, democracy, on the other hand pursued to its populist conclusions, is a threat to a winner-takes-all capitalism.
I will refer Nana Addo to read some books on the theory of development economics. He would have saved himself such an elementary Freudian slip of his penchant for the advocating for the rich, while shedding baby cries for the poor.

Nana Akufo-Addo should look around nations of the world, and with a little open mindedness and more candor will realize that nations which espouse property owning agenda do have the greatest inequality of wealth distribution by any measure. In fact countries in Western Europe with healthy standards of living and quality of life of its citizens and residents do subscribe to some socialist principles to achieve those standards.
It is rather unfortunate that our own home grown Ghana intellectuals are either limited in intellectual capacities or full of ignorance. The philosophy that drives property owning systems is precisely what drove slavery and has morphed into master servant relation that drives business owner-employee relations of modern day.
How would Nana logically and morally explain why he, along with his political elite class in parliament, think they deserve to be first in line to get their monthly salaries, benefits and mileage reimbursements before the rest of civil servants can get their meager wages when there is not enough money for government to meet payroll? This example is to shed light what belies the property seeking society being sought by Nana for it is deemed appropriate for the elite to maintain their lifestyles while everyone else wait their turn.

Akuffo-Addo is defending the indefensible. I have lived in the West and have seen the devastating effects of property owning capitalism on the majority of people who live in it.Captalism favours only a few in any society that practises it.It turns the majority into the slaves of the few rich and because of this western countries are gradually becoming societies in which the majority are struggling to survive..To allow property-owning democracy[euphemism for capitalism] to take roots in Ghana will amount to creating a society in which the few powerful and rich will become richer and richer at the expense of the majority of ghanaians. In pursuit of this political and economy philosophy we saw how the NPP government of Kuffuor sold state lands and buildings to NPP ministers,MPS and activists.Akuffo-Addo cannot throw dust into the eyes of ghanaians.Because of property-owning democracy[euphemism for capitalism] one per cent of the rich in the world own half of its wealth ,and in America one per cent of the population own almost the entire wealth of America. How can such an economic system based on greed and exploitation be of benefit to ghanaians?Nobody will argue that capitalism is vey efficient at creating wealth but it is also the worst distributor of wealth.A fairer economic system is that which combines capitalism and socialism to create and distribute wealth. This is the type of economic system needed in Ghana to prevent the monopoly of almost the entire wealth of the nation by a few and to ensure that the nation's wealth is equitably distributed.

Where else would we see these dreams of Danquah's that Akufo-Addo is claiming the late patriot had for us? We are not going to swallow, line and sink, every utterance that Akufo-Addo would make on the vision of Danquah's to the Nation.
I can sense a certain coy attempt Akufo-Addo to coopt the masses that Danquah's dreams are strictly his, too, and also that Nkrumah might stolen the dreams of Danquah in, say the construction of the Akosombo Dam.
The whole World knows that it is the same UP elements who claimed the Akosombo Dam was part of Nkrumah's prestigious developmental agenda. Now, we hear Akufo-Addo claiming the Dam for Danquah's dream. He did not even stop there. He is even claiming the idea of universal free Education for the legacy of his relative to shore up his own acceptance for the Presidency in 2016.
If all these were Danquah's dreams, how come there were never mentioned to Ghanaians all these many years, till now that Akufo-Addo is making his final push for the Presidency?
And the so-called "Property-Owning" Democracy is nothing but an euphemism for "Wealthy by all means possible". Hence, the eruption of massive corruption among Officials both in the previous Administration and this current NDC Administration.
Which Democracy in the World is not "Property-Owning"? If we would be really honest to ourselves, every true Democracy does not prohibit property-owning by individuals. So, why the emphasis on Property-Owning? The exceptional emphasis on property-owning presupposes Ghana has never allowed property-owning, and that is a bold-face lie!!
Even in the more restrictive Nkrumah era where the "One-man, One-car" policy was suggested, the ordinary folks still retained the right to own property. That right was never taken away.
In fact, the "one-man, one-car" restriction was specifically meant for public Officials who at the time had begun to indulge in various corrupt schemes to amass wealth and multiple cars were their first choice of show of wealth.
Never did the Nkrumah regime went after private, ordinary citizens who were genuinely working hard to build their wealth. If anyone outside the Official realm was targeted to be stripped of his multiple cars or property, there might have been some legal grounds for that action.
I know of numerous folks who owned many cars or buses or trucks and houses and other assets that were not touched, and that was not because they were members of the Nkrumah's Party. They were not CPP members. Some were ardent UP stalwarts.
So, this so-called "Property-Owning" Democracy crap is nothing more than unnecessary overemphasis for Wealth accumulation that only drives many to take illegal means to do so.
The NPP could come up with a better slogan for Wealth accumulation than that. How about "Ethically-and-Legally-guided-Property-Owning Democracy", or "Corruption-free-Property-Owning Democracy", if there is any need at all for emphasis on 'Property-Owning' in our Democracy?
Superfluous, hollow slogans are not what would save us. It is discipline among our Institutions, and within individuals, to stay and act within the law in executing our policies that would straighten up the mess we have ourselves in.
If any of our Laws are ineffectual they would have to be tossed out or amended to have the necessary targeted impact. The Parliament must live up to its name and purpose, and our MPs must display sharper acumen in enacting good, effective Laws that would not easily allow circumvention at any level of their application.
A lot of existing vital Laws seem to have been composed without the necessary locks on them to avoid slippage that many, especially the Politicians, capitalize on to cheat the Constitution. An example is the Law that requires our Officials, including MPs, to declare their assets before and after coming to Office. We have nothing on the books that compels them to declare those assets, or brings them to face the book upon their failure to comply with the Law.
Another is the lack of any inescapable legal instrument to collect stolen monies that the Courts have established as such and ordered their return to our coffers.

Democracy is a "gov't of the people by the people for the people"(Lincoln),and Property is anything one has a title of ownership,or genuinely acquired and therefore own it. So what is the concept of "Property-Owing Democracy" ?. You go into Politics to enrich oneself or what ?.And by the definition of Lincoln,if I am right, when one uses his/her public office position
influence, or the taxpayers fund to acquired a property. Who is the rightful Owner of the property ?, the politician or the people ?. So what is "property-owing democracy" I think the concept is Corrupted in advance and misplaced ;because it teaches the politician to use his office to acquire properties and so,does not make Sense to me, again because a politician or public office holder is supposed to introduce and implement programs that would ease the burden of the people in the general interest of the Country.
