We have been in this country when the uncompleted extension of the runway of Kumasi Regional Airport has been described by the Mahama NDC gov't as an ultra modern international airport comparable to any international airport in the US, Germany, France, UK, Holland, China, Hong Kong, etc, etc. So what does the Mahama NDC gov't means by an ultra modern Kumasi central market because Ghanaians have had it with mediocre leadership and propaganda.

Arthur K is right. The argument over Mosquito's Coat shows how flimsy and silly the Parties' leading Officials could be, wasting resources, instead of discussing matters that really impact on the lives of Ghanaians.

That argument should not have been raised in the first place. But it appears those elements in NPP who made it a point of debate are simply leaving no stone unturned in portraying the NDC in the worst human entity as possible to claim it is not fit to lead the Nation.

Grasping unto anything to score a political point could sometime backfire. And NPP must be ware of that.

We deserve to hear our Politicians discuss how we can improve on our 'Dumsor, Dumsor' problem, or improve on our Economy or our Educational standards or our infrastructure in general, not what kind of clothes anyone wears to whatever event.

Mr Berko, I can assure you that anybody who cannot distinguish the difference between mens wear and ladies wear in this day and age and the embarrassing consequences that this lack of knowledge portends, is surely not qualified, much more, capable of engaging in high-level political and intellectual discussions such as educational standards and the best possible means to provide adequate energy for the country.

You yourself, you sound like both Asiedu-Nketsia and Arthur Kennedy. In essence, you are essentially, rural boys made good by rote-learning which has unduly projected your kind at the helm of public affairs and society.

I am not NPP nor indeed any of those marauding gangs operating under the cover of multiparty politics. I am above all of that nonsense but I still think that any politician who is not conversant with the most basic protocol codes of public presentation, is not qualified to think for the larger interests of society.

Aseidu Nketia's response has generated all these comments from some of us who is not associated with NDC or NPP or any other political divide. You should know how to do the basics before travelling to represent a whole country. For God's sake they went there to beg for money which we have in abundance here. Its only because we are too greedy that's why we find ourselves in this mess.

Second of all, most of our comments and our responses to them show pettiness, belittling, abusive language, insuts and lack of respect.

I seriously believe that if we had made an effort to internalize Ntrumah's idea of African Personality, we wouldn't have Mr. Asiedu Nketia wearing a lady's winter coat to a State function in Germany, Dr. Arthur K., and multitudes of Ghanaians daily donning on other cultures attires.

All of us have to begin to wear our native clothes; because to quote an old saying:
"Practice without thought is blind; thought without practice is empty".

Maybe after this wintry storm in the tea cup, we will start dressing in our native attires.

After discussing that issue at Koforidua in the Eastern Region, a member of the NPP left the report in his hotel room and it became public.

Dr Arthur Kennedy makes a lot of sense by refusing to take part in a discussion that has no worth. We in Ghana seem to be looking at everything for political gains irrespective of whether or not the thing has value for the country. In Germany where Asiedu Nketiah wore the the female coat, it is no big deal for a man to wear a female winter jacket since there is little difference between male and female winter jackets just like trousers. What is important is how comfortable the wearer the feels wearing it and I believe Mr Asiedu Nketiah had no complains wearing the jacket because he felt comfortable in it. But for the petty politics that is thriving everywhere in Ghana, General Mosquito's wearing of a so-called female winter jacket should not have been an issue at all. It is very interesting for an opposition to think by talking about General Mosquito's winter dress, they will win power.
