Sometimes I really feel ashamed by the actions of our brothers who have lived here in the states before and are supposed to know and behave better and be well disciplined when they go back home to Ghana or Africa rather behave the opposite.They know how the law works and how to help implement and enforce them but they fall to the system back home.They know the right from wrong but what happens? they do the same old mistakes.Just look at our brother Kofi Ghana formerly of Newark NJ and our brother Vanderpuye.Where on earth has seen a motorcade or siren being used by a senator,mayor,congressman,governor etc.Please do not act as if you don't know because you know better than these.Thanks.

My friend,mayors use motorcade depending on where they are going,the only thing is that you don't see it because you think the motorcade always means there must be a motor cycle rider blaring siren.
The problem in Ghana is that we don't respect traffic in Ghana and the only way the mayor can get through that traffic in Accra is to use the dispatch rider to clear the way since without that they will not let him pass.
The place you are referring to the people respect the police flashing lights which are unmarked cars.
That chief and this Daily Guide are ignorant,it is not the police who decide which government official can use motorcade and there is no law that the mayor cannot use motorcade.

The police officer who shot the tires of that ignorant lawyer really did a heroes job,he was to protect the mayor and if he realize there is a threat he has to deal with it and that was exactly what he did.
Now,do you know anywhere that a lawyer or anybody will chase a mayor to confront him because he feels it was wrong for him to use motorcade and in Ghana did the law say if you are a lawyer you can confront or chase somebody driving using siren,if he knows there is law in Ghana why he took the law into his own hand to confront a mayor,do you know that this guy would have been shot if he had done that in the US chasing a motorcade to confront its occupant?
That useless lawyer should rather be charged for at least road rage,
He was lucky that officer didn't shoot him.

If the mayor is promoting the effort to clean up the filth of the city, that's laudable and commendable but, Ama, that's his JOB. He shouldn't get any special kudos for doing his job.

He has taken the law into his own hands and what he knows is to pull down individual houses that they have sweat to build in Ghana. It was the same man that restricted Ghanaians that you you don't speak Ga language he would not allow you to register at his constituency and no NOBODY in Ghana proved to him that he was wrong to do that. He is wasting poor tax payers money without offering nothing to Ghanaians. To me, l see him as the weakest minister among mahama's administration. I was in Ghana 2012, 2013 and 2014 and l can tell you that if Ghana is a country that the rules and laws ate functioning then this man would have been jailed now.
