It is quite right for the men in responsible positions for the upkeep of the medicaments in the central stores at Tema be interdicted to answer for lack of simple fire extinguishers in the facility.They must know that provision of fire extiguishes are prerequitite to the combart of any fire outbreak in a place like this,to save it from wanton destruction of the facility by unsuspected fire outbreak.Ghana was colonized by the British for 150 years and thought us the rudiments of Nation building, not only the political institutions but also safety principals to restore safety in a delicate industry of this magnitude.All institutions in Ghana which have no gadges like fire extinguishers and depending only on fire service should have to think twice b,ecos there should be the status quo as first Aid, since prevention is better than cure.

This is a welcoming decision by the Hon Minster of Health to interdict these selfish officers to serve as deterrent to others. This is a national disaster and lost to taxpayers. These selfish officers can chase their allowances day and days out but will never put security and safety measure against any disaster. They must be prosecuted and jailed.

This is the first time that people are being held to account following a disaster. Is it because Prez Mahama said somebody should be held responsible? I hope that will not lead to making people escape goats. When was the last time the CMS premises was re-wired? Whose job is it to ensure maintenance and the person or outfit been resourced to do its job? Let's find who actually has been negligent and not make escape goats.
