Where is that bush Togo boy called Fiifi Kwetey? Do these figures draw his attention to anything he has said in the past? When giants like Bawumiah speak about the economy idiots and illiterates like Fifi Kwetey have the effrontery to rubbish them. No serious economist has had a trust in the way Mahama is running the country. He has reinforced the fundamental fact that our economy is too dependent on raw materials and lately it is being powered by corruption. No such economy in this world can weather the storm facing the global economy. Of course if you have a vacuous propagandist like Fiifi Kwettey running a critical ministry such as that of Agriculture you should not expect any wonders. Mahama will pay a very dear price for the way he has toyed with our destiny.

The growth of the economy is only meaningful if it has any positive impact on the average Ghanaian. Does this mean the life of the average Ghanaian improved by 4.2% in 2014? Does it mean the pocket of the average Ghanaian got heavier by 4.2% in 2014? Does it mean the average Ghanaian could afford 4.2% more in 2014 than he or she could afford in 2013? If the answer to all these questions is YES, then CONGRATULATIONS otherwise it is just a nice number to brag about but has no meaning to the average Ghanaian.

Giving figures just like talking everybody can easily smooth talk and coming up with figures on paper or on the internet. It is only relevant when you can see it in the daily lives of it's folks. When people can not put food on the table and have to depend on western union for survival then you have to rather contemplate and quit writing figures. When you see your people moaning or getting used to dumsor dumsor, bad roads, poor health care,no portable drinking water even in Accra not even far away but in places such as Pokuase etc.then we should be even ashamed to come up with a positive figure it should rather be negative.Any nation where you have majority crying and suffering but fewer are enjoying then it is sad indeed."No Western Union No Ghana" just think about this.Meanwhile the Asiedu Nketias,Ablakwas,Kofi Ghana our former Newark NJ guy,JJ etc.are all making noise because they have milked the people and already lined their pockets with green. They all have their Bore Holes and Generators so do not care.

This shows that we are not utilizing our resources properly. There are gaping holes in our economy which if not filled will leave our economy in an anemic state.Ghana MUST reduce importation of processed goods and drastically increase our manufacturing output. There are no more excisses why this can't be done. The manufacturing machines are now readily available at very reasonable prices(THANK YOU CHINA) and unlike the West who refuses to sell us high tech machinery, China and Brazil are ever ready to sell us good machinery at prices we can easily afford. So instead of importing finished goods from China and Brazil we could buy their machines and learn how to produce them for ourselves thereby reducing unemployment and increasing the size of our economy.

Ghana's economy under the Mahama NDC gov't has not grown. In fact it is decelerating and dropping as fast as a meteorite hurtling from space, and the most revealing of this negative growth trend is the fact that, it is inconceivably happening when Ghana has the added benefit of oil revenue.
This decelerating growth rate of 4.2% is much lower than the rate of 4.75% that was projected.
Clearly, the economic growth rates have plunged to levels lower than about a decade ago, when the NPP gov't was in power and growing the economy in leaps and bounds in the absence of oil.
It is very important to situate these fundamental facts within the context of where Ghana is headed under this Mahama NDC gov't, which is, absolutely downhill and into the abyss, and it is deeply troubling when there's the requisite human capital resource base to grow the economy of the country in a positive direction.
The case for a complete jettisoning of the Mahama NDC gov't at the ballot box in 2016, could not be more critical, could not be more germane, could not be more stratified, could not be more imperative in the face of such glaring, incontestable and indisputable facts.
Ghana deserves the best and Ghana needs to put it's best foot forward in it's quest to address it's growth and development objectives in a competent, prudent, intelligent and forward looking manner.
The Mahama NDC gov't has failed and needs to go.
