She is the voice of thousands of girls in Ghana who have been used by prominent people like KKD, MPs, teachers, and business owners who believe that once a sexual act is over and the girl is not dead, then no crime is committed. KKD probably slept with a lot of young girls whom he promised to help them with their modeling careers. Most of them might not have said anything because of the lack of knowledge on the part of Ghanaian and African women about what is rape. Most people reading this believe that in our Ghanaian tradition, a woman saying NO, still mean yes and only trying to pretend. That is about to change. Who in his right mind will have sex with a beautiful and desirable woman in a bathroom within a short time you have just met her when you could afford to pay for a full hotel room? KKD must go for good.

I have two young female daughters in their early twenties. I am an extremely protective father and a strong advocate of maximum sentences for all rapists. The question of rape is one that is dealt with tact. It is a "she said/he said situation. We should be careful when there are no witnesses to corroborate such accusations lest we ruin the other person's life forever. I am not necesarily saying it didn't happen but there is also an equal chance that the accused may be totally innocent. Nobody knows what actually transpired between the two in that room on that fateful day ecxept both of them. This lady had two other relatives within earshot waiting for her in the next room. It is not a situation where her life would be in danger by screaming for help when she was being raped. We have to be realistic here and not declare this guy guilty based on an unproven accusation. Going into a secluded bathroom alone with a stranger you just met doesn't sound like a smart and responsible decision to me. This is not to say that maybe a rape didn't take place but it leaves a whole lot to be desired and makes me question her decision-making ability and truthfulness. Remember, there was no eye witness, so the merit of the care will depend on circumstantial evidence inherent in the case. I don't want a situation of "crying wolf" where there is none in rape cases, else no one will believe you the day that a real "wolf" shows up.

I think we should be careful with these issues, I have witness a similar case where a taxi driver was accused of rape by a lady he picked. When the lady could not pay for her fare and the taxi driver took her wallet from her she accused him of rape. The taxi driver was remanded for almost a year to find out later that it was not a rape. With or without sex a lady can accused a man of rape, please today it is KKD it can be you tomorrow so lets be careful.

After his death many women came forward with harrowing stories of sexual abuse at his hands, some of those women were only children when it happened. KKD may not have traveled the path of paedophilia, and we're talking about only one or two women accusers so far, but who knows? The point here is, some of the questions about why the girl did not shout, yell, scream, ran, etc are irrelevant to the issue at stake. The victims of Jimmy Saville did not do any of the above either but are finally getting the justice they have always deserved. Was there a rape or no rape?
