Why African leaders always want to be called presidents and not prime ministers? With the exception of the French speaking countries, whose systems have a president with a chosen prime minister to run the day to day affairs of the country, almost all the English speaking African countries inherited the prime ministerial parliamentary system. After independence, most of them chose or imposed the presidential system on their people with vast powers not necessary for development of their countries, and without a strong parliament to check the executive and abuse of power. Frankly, the presidential system is too expensive and too imperial for a small country like Ghana.

The voice of Nana Addo has been repeated many times by intelligent people. His foresightness has the capacity to transform the economy. He has talked about the how urgent we needed an electoral reforms but Afari Gyan's NDC government have their own evil minds. The last time Nana Addo advocated for Free SHS, these shameless people demonized him. Now they have returned to the same policy like a dog would return to its vormit. Nana Addo has the wisdom. God has blessed him!

This npp stooges always talk about reform when NDC is in government. But went mute from 2000 to 2008. Can anyone tell me why . Because I believe what they do should benefit all and not a section. God bless our homeland Ghana

Yes, reforms that will allow past heads of states or presidents to contest for the position of president even if as independent candidates should their party fail ti endorse their candidnature. Former PREZ like Kufour and Raw ...
