Bad leadership in Ghana was started by Nkrumah. In fact all our problems started with him. Nkrumah was a dictator and very ambitious. He introduced one party rule in Ghana and made himself life president. He was neither caring, compassionate, visionary, smart nor politically savvy. Most of the things he took credit for had been started by the British, our colonial masters. For instance Tema Motorway was on the drawing board when he took over and Akosombo Dam was not his brainchild. KNUST was established by Asantehene and the British. Surprisingly, most of the things he takes credit for were never initiated by him

Independence, for instance, was sought for by many and achieved under the aegis and cunningness of Kofi Nwiah, trickster and schemer extraordinaire. Well, all along I have been asking how and under what circumstances "Francis Kofi Nwiah" was able to change his name to "Kwame Nkrumah". I know that it is permissible for anybody to change his name anytime he or she wishes but it is strange and beyond comprehension for one to change his birthday from Friday to Saturday ie from Kofi to Kwame. This is what makes me suspicious of Kofi Nwiah or Kwame Nkrumah. He claimed that his date of birth was 21st September 1909. This day according to the 20th century Calendar was a Tuesday!!! So was Nkrumah born on a Tuesday, a Friday or a Saturday? We must find out what he was up to with all these very strange findings. He was indeed cunning and only preyed on the emotions of the Ghanaian masses. It was my wish that president Mills would set up a committee to investigate before declaring Nkrumah's "unknown" birthday a holiday.

When he took over we had trade surplus running into millions of Pound Sterling but when he was forced out we had a trade deficit of several million pounds sterling!! This was the result of bad governance. He should have been overthrown earlier than 1966. We all saw good governance under K4. To me K4 is the best president Ghana has ever had. Kuffour is the greatest. We thank Kotoka and Afrifa for stoping the dictator in his tracks. Ayekoo Kotoka and Afrifa. Kotoka AirPort should never be renamed.

You have to pledge allegiance to his party before you were served, with some diverted funds to himself and his party – those who did not know this. Good that he started most of our infrastructure for development, however the British acknowledged that, the reasons they left the nation with over £250 million in today’s money billions. They wasted most of it on irrelevant projects just for the side kick and the rest stolen or wasted to make himself an African President.

What is so smart about Nkrumah when he imprisoned most of our elite killed them or got them exiled in order to surround himself with the illiterates he could control to kiss his ass. CPP today should be ashamed of themselves to ever have a link. When a nation spends so much money to train his citizens and one communist Nkrumah comes around and get them all out, you call that progress. JJ with the short waves of brains did the same, however Nkrumah was smarter. Same communist ideas, he got rid of the elite, stole their money and houses and further went to destroy Ghanaian industries.

It is not only this joker of a Baah character, who is ungrateful to Kwame Nkrumahs Ghana. Almost all of the political parties and govts including the current CPP itself have done zilch to add anything of any significance to what Nkrumah left for Ghana as a nation, Africa and the entire Black race of African people.

For crying out loud, this nonentity called Amoako-Baah is even lecturing for a living in an institution that was initiated, built and named after the man he is now looks down upon. He lives in a country that is sustained purely on the infrastructure established by the same man who over 50 years ago, virtually created all the institutions on which this country still barely manages to work on and prides itself on today. How shameless can a man get?

Doesnt this Amoako-Baako have any intellectual faculties to discern the benefits that this nation and indeed all Black people, including those of his despicable likes, have benefited from the hard work and ideology that Nkrumah established for posterity? So why does he not think that such great works are irrelevant today? If he is being paid for being a loud-speaker of imperialist opinions he should know how to conduct himself otherwise he will end up like those before him like Danquah, Busia, Afrifa, Kotoka and co, who also said the same things about Nkrumah several decades ago. They have all ended up in the rubbish bin of history.

I find it difficult to believe that a whole university lecturer in this day and age said what he is alleged to have stated. Can somebody please re-produce exactly what this Baah chap had earlier said and the exact substance of what he said and where?

That such a character is a lecturer in a Ghanaian university today, shows how far down the road of destruction and despair we have sunk to.

Just like himself, he thinks that the people of Ghana should forever subordinate themselves to the shameful whims of imperialist handouts for a living. Nkrumaists dont and that is the difference between himself and all genuine Nkrumaists.

I will properly address the issues when I manage to get a copy of his statement. Until then, I rest my case.

Strong partisanship started in Ghana when Kwame Nkrumah divided the nation into two: Patriots and traitors. Patriots were those who accepted that he should be president for life, practice one party state and communism and indulge in Leftist anti-Western propaganda using the small country's meager resources to challenge centuries' old, well-established Western countries. They even accepted that he should act as a savior of the Blackman around the world, while tyrannizing his own Black people at home because they have alternative views for development of their country.
Those who wanted him to concentrate more on the basic needs of the young nation and tone down his rhetoric against the powerful were called traitors, reactionaries, and agents of imperialism that should be liquidated and imprisoned dead or alive. Could you believe that the opposition members he was tyrannizing were the very people who started the struggle for our independence? They employed Nkrumah and paid for his ticket from the UK to come and work as General Secretary of the group, saving him from the tyranny of being unemployed in London. The independence struggle vanguards were senior civil servants in the Gold Coast. And as their struggle was gaining momentum and scope of the activities widening, they needed someone to work full time for the group; free from official work constrains to further spread message of the struggle.

Under their responsibility and protection, Nkrumah used the platform to become a public face of the group and his popularity soared. This was because, many people in those days perceived him as the person or the only person that was fighting for our independence. Subsequently, when he heard from the Governor General's female secretary, who was later sacked, that the British had been preparing to grant us independence, he increasingly used needless militant tactics to provoke the Whiteman, when it was clear that the wind of change was blowing, and also embarrass his employers in order to outsmart them. He then used the opportunity to break away from them, forming his own party and slapping them from behind to take power.

This explains the strong partisanship in the country and why Nkrumah didn't want the Liberation Vanguards to ever come to power in his life time. Maybe, he was afraid of his own ghost. Unfortunately, and despite all these facts, his supporters still want us to believe that he initiated, spearheaded and single handedly fought for our independence, and therefore name every national project after him as if we were in a kingdom.

Tell the truth ! Nkrumah did not surrounded himself with illiterates to control them. These were the people who worked or helped him to attained power.Like present day "foot soldiers" The same thing is done by any political party in the Country to this day.And the CPP was not an exception.Again ,Nkrumah never chased or killed any elite as you claim.That's a lie ! Nkrumah built over 200 Secondary Schools as it was then called across the Country,to opened the gateway to High Sch Education.Until then, Mfantispim,Wesley Girls,Adisadel, Holy Child, St Augustine's,AME Zion,-all at Cape Coast,with one or two private ones,Prempeh in Kumasi, Presbyterian Secondary at Odumasi, relocated to Accra,were the certified Schs in the Country.All the others were sole proprietary Secondary Schools.
Again,even if some projects was on the drawing board by the British,Dr Nkrumah was not Stupid to abandoned or rejected them as was/is the practice of leadership after him.
Nkrumah built Akosombo Dam -(Hydro- Electric),Akosombo Textile (ATL),Juapon Textile,GTP Textile (Tema),Chinese Textile(Tema) Valco. Tema Harbour,Boatyards and Dry Docks,,Meat Factory,Paint Division,
Steel Wrks,GIHOC Electronics, GIHOC Pharmaceutical,Nsawam Cannery, etc etc etc etc etc etc.The Ministries,Black Star Square,High Court,Supreme Court,Appeals Court, Ghana Library, State Publishing Corporation,etc etc etc. In Real Estate,Nkrumah built Tema Township and all govt industries some of which are mentioned above.Nkrumah built Labone Estate,Cantoment Estate, Yaneba Estate,Osu Estate, Kanda Estate, All the State Hotels,Part of Kaneshie,Estate, Latehbiokoshie Estate, Korle Bu Estate or Drs Flats Mamprobi Estate,etc etc.
With execption of some few private industries like- Nkulenu industries, International Tobacco(BA Mensah), Awuku Socks Factory,Kwame Nyanteh etc etc all Industries was built by Osagyefo Dr Prof Kwame Nkrumah, though as a human he had his mistakes but not any of what you said about Nkrumah is the truth !

I can't bring myself to believe that any sensible being with his head well fixed to the body and thinks well, especially somebody said to be in the political science faculty of a university in Ghana will one day make such cheaply condemnable and derogatory senseless remarks about relevant vision of the great man Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah whose national legacies we are all proud of as Ghanaians and Africans for that matter long after his senseless overthrow and death.

The family of this man with some kind PHD degree will do well to take him for a psychiatric examination as the objective idea with such strategic set goals that built schools including universities, roads, affordable houses, provided portable drinking water to the people, built hospitals, local industries and created jobs including farms, dams, industries and creditably built dignified national image with international diplomatic pride and brought about total social economic and political emancipation of Africa is certainly not at all a lazy one.

The lazy ones are the local stooges and national traitors like Dr. Baah who were paid CIA pea-nuts to undermine the people's freedom and the great vision of Osagyafo to stop the forward marching of the national developments.

Dr. Baah has exposed himself of explainable hatred he has for the great man Osagyefo and to the public that he is in fact not fit for purpose for the political science degree he holds and the department he work at the university or he's lazy with bigotry diminutive mind not to bother reading the great man's written books to relate the social economic and developmental issues raised to the current.

So sad such people are running the national political science departments in the universities in Ghana as lecturers with their cronies running the corridors of political powers, no wonder Ghana today find herself in such social economic mess.

Dr. Baah and his likes of anti people's progress might have succeeded killing the messenger but certainly can not kill the message.

The new generation ever want the relevant ideological believes of Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah revisited for our national developments and progress.

Please someone out there should do a serious investigation on this guy and he will be exposed. He has not been to a University before let alone obtain a BA or the other degrees he claim to have. Remember he came for Texas US where people easily purchase degrees. He needs to be investigated.

During Nkrumah time Ghana was having surplus with our budget and because he wanted to unite Africa Ghanaians money was used for that idea , it should have been good if he did accomplish it but he didn't so it was wasted money from Ghanaians coffers, put your agenda's and how you are going to do it on table and let's read them , we are in 21 century and you're talking about 60's that makes you guys really lazy in thinking , Nkrumah was having those in mind because there was money and now Ghana is depending on foreign donors where are you guys going to get money for those projects ? After all let me ask Amoako-Baah the following questions:
1. What does capitalism mean in Africa context?
2. What does socialism mean in Africa context?
3. What does Communism mean in Africa context?
4. Is a Ghanaian a capitalist or a socialist?
5. Who gave the names Capitalism, Socialism and Communism? Are these jargons emanated from Africa or from our colonial masters?
6. What name can we give to the Africa’s socio-economic system our fathers used to establish the cocoa farms that have support the economy of Ghana for more than 100 years?
7. Amoako-Baah should be honest with himself assumed that Nkrumah did not implemented some socialist programmes in Ghana that spilled over to the 1980s, would he be a professor today?
The professor should check the economic system of China today and compare it with the economic system that Nkrumah implemented in Ghana in the 1960s and see if there is any significant difference unless he does not understand these system from first principles
Reciting the books authored by our former colonial masters will not help Africa because this is Mental Slavery which is a disease.
We want our professors to come out with a political system that incorporates African governance system that is practical to Africa Heritage and stop talking about socialism and capitalism in Ghana that is making people poor.

Go to KNUST and see what he teaches students and the fraudulent books he copies from the internet and sells to students. It is a shame that KNUST and Ghanaians have allowed him to fool people.
