Not everything that works for the white man will equally work for other ppl. We are all different with different cultures and customs. We need to be careful how we copy everything from the white man.

Cha and Yaro, you made my day, the laws dont work because it's not enforced, laws must be enforced and the enforcer must obey it. Leadership has failed Ghana.

Before the socalled revolution in 1979,Ghanaians had a bit respect for each other.Since then we lost respect for everything in this Country, lawlessness became the order of the day,the younger ones lost respect for the elders,we lost respect for public property ,no respect for each other. No law enforcement, since then the situation is going from bad to worse. In our Parliament all you hear is MPs shouting at each other,on the airwaves there is no discussion which doesn't end in insults,I need not talk about the insults on this forum.Attimes when I see and hear how we behave I wonder whether we are part of civilization, because even Animals live according to rules, but not here in Ghana, everybody is doing his or her own thing and nobody seems to care.Nobody is held resposible for anything. It is like the fittest survive. What a shame, for a Country which claims to be the star of Africa. We really need to change our attitude, but to change that we need a strong leadership, not Mahama'leadership which has been compromised with all the corruption going on.I really don't care who becomes a leader in Ghana, as long as the one will think of Ghana and be selfless and is prepared to sacrifice his/her all for Ghana, not those who come in to enrich themselves.

Check out all Pepeni's communities and you will find out common ardent atrocities and all kind of insidious practices just because the value of "pepeni born ayigbe's" common sense contradict with any rule of law. We thought that when Mahama would become president, he would apply the law and also improve Zongo’s understanding of the law but like father like son: Zongo’s are wayward when it comes to law abiding. To apply the law means we are confined with the rules and the youths learn the law to become good citizens. The unabated calamities and the youths unspeakable criminal activities tell us that pepeni cannot rule

Mike Acquaye's idea about Laws is all over the place; why doesn't he know that one doesn't go to bed thinking about Laws, in regulations, rules or bye-laws; however, one is aware that Laws are there to protect him and his property; and to be enforced against those who break them; importantly
- why it is that Mike Acquaye doesn't know that he wasn't a legislator but a member of Ghana Parliament (MP); and this goes for all Ghana MPs; for, a sitting Ghana Parliament itself is the LEGISLATOR and not individual MPs; one is still not surprised; for,
- isn't this very Mike Acquaye who thinks that Kwame Nkrumah never existed?

Leadership by example as they say, and if politicians are flouting the laws, being corrupt etc, don't expect the citizens to obey the law as we are all human.
