The question is, why isn't the government arresting people for littering, urinating or defecating in public? If the government arrest and fined people, I think they will stop polluting the environment. But first, the government must do its part by making providing an alternative. Now, if there isn't an alternative, or even if there is and it isn't enough, what should the public do? I think I just opened your thought. The government collects taxes all over the country but what do they do with it? By the God's grace the country has enormous resources but what do our leaders do with them? Upon all these resources, our leaders go to other countries to beg for money but what do they do with them? May God bless Ghana.

Who asked you go into politics? if at the end of the day, the BAD PERSON who is able to pay more, wins political power, you have placed all of us in the hands of a corrupt person, and you want corruption to go away? If a DELEGATE ask for money for whatever reason before he votes, get him out of your party, if you love Ghana. POLITICS IS NOT FOR CHURCH Mice, it is for the RICH. HUNGRY POOR PEOPLE must get out of politics, and save Ghana from BRIBERY AND CORRUPTION. THE HUNGRY AND POOR must get this into their stupid head. people are always going on strike because the government wants them to pay a little more in taxes. Ghanaians will do everything possible to flees the government. THIS NDC GOVERNMENT IS VERY LAZY AND INCOMPETENT. IT IS HIGH TIME SOMEONE SENDS THE GOVERNMENT TO COURT OVER THIS CLEAN UPS.
I WAS RECENTLY IN ZURICH, SWITZERLAND AND THENCE TO HAMBURG IN GERMANY AND I SAW THAT SPECIAL CLEANERS WERE PAID FROM THE TAX PAYERS MONEY TO CLEAN THE CITY.
WHAT THE NDC IS DOING AT THE MOMENT IS ANOTHER WAY OF CORRUPTING THE SYSTEM I.E. TO USE THE CITIZENS TO CLEAN THE CITIES INSTEAD OF USING THE TAX PAYERS MONEY TO DO THAT JOB SO THEY POCKET IT. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH FOR THIS GOVERNMENT. WE NEED TO KICK THEM OUT 2016!!!!!!!

Renowned American preacher, Bishop T.D Jakes has called for a team of thinking and vibrant leaders to inspire the much needed transformation the country expects.
According to him, Ghana needs innovative and resourceful leaders with ideas to transform the country and not leaders who act in their own interests.
Addressing a breakfast meeting of corporate leaders put together by the Action Chapel International, Bishop Jakes charged Ghanaians to do away with mediocrity.
He said in order for the country to develop, it will need a group of leaders who can think of new ideas and are “assets and not liabilities.”
These leaders according to Bishop Jakes should be people who are “bringing something to the table and are willing to help the country get to where it wants to get to.”
He said until the country finds these people, it will be surrounded by those who are mediocre and will not contribute anything to the development and growth of the Nation.
President John Mahama who was present at the meeting expressed solidarity with the African-American community in the United States who have been protesting over perceived police impunity and brutality.
According to him, the protests are a sign that America has its own problem and is in need of true leadership.
President Mahama said the struggle on civil rights is not over and that the situation calls for a leadership of a new generation of Martin Luther King’s and other renowned civil right leaders in America to rise and fight against the abuse against blacks in that country.
He is however confident that with the presence of T.D Jakes and other strong African-American personalities in America, the next phase of the African –American struggle can be fought and won.
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor was also present at the meeting.

Paa Kwesi Nduom knows good and darn well that in Ghana the word government is more apt to imply the national government and not local governments. Paa Kwesi also knows national governments do not run advice and prefer one waste and sanitation management entity over another and more likely most of those outfits may not have the logistics to operate in all cities/regions in Ghana. Furthermore, Paa Kwesi Nduom knows that taxes attributed to sewage/drainage and sanitation is never a national assessed tax but local because of variance, dump disposal fees etc.
To me it is this lack of intellectual honesty and misinformation that continues to stifle progress by contributing to the dummying down of the voter public who become interested in political talking points that solutions based on facts. And who are those running local governments under the decentralized urban and rural planning and development scheme? Does Paa Kwesi think if the setup of the scheme had been what it was cracked up to be cities and towns will be wallowing in filth in this day and age? As an astute businessman Paa Kwesi knows that it is the faulty decentralization policies that has given rise to most of our problems including policing and crime prevention.

We are dirty as a people and this consciousness is key for us to change our bad attitude, Until then we must all be organized to clean what we dropped, until we stop so that the few people in charge of cleaning can do a possible task but not the impossible littering of 25 million people.
Government must however be responsible by checking on the MDA to do their, work. the corruption there is mind boggling, all property rates goes into individual pockets and advertising rate are chop money for a few who are unqualified to occupy that post they are holding.
Until proper qualified individuals are employed at the MDA Ghana will not make any progress

The purported statement made by Dr.Kwesi Nduom, on his Facebook page, smacks of a display of intellectual dishonesty! Albeit the fact that it is government's responsibility to clean our cities and others, it is equally true that the maintenance of clean cities is a shared responsibility for the citizenry and government. It is the responsibility of the citizenry to ensure that garbage is not dumped into the open-drains. It is also the responsibility of the citizenry to ensure that plastics and rubbish are not littered around any how. So, is Kwesi Nduom saying that if people go about indulging in such habits; littering their surroundings with plastic bags, consciously throwing garbage into drains and gutters, they should not be involved directly to clear the mess? Even in the societies or countries Dr. Nduom cited, people and groups in the commuties periodically organize clean-ups! What has he got to say about that? These politicians should better shy away from the habit of always watering down any good intended program spearheaded by government, just for the purpose of whipping up hatred for government! Dr.nduom, you should better join in the mobilization of the people to confront the filth that is engulfing our cities, towns and communities or you should better shut up!

It is strange when I hear educated idiots talk nonsense in the name of politics. Generally, the countries he mentioned collect the taxes, yes, they keep the environments clean, yes their citizens are law abiding, tidy, they don't throw rubbish anywhere, the DONT defecate at their beaches, they don't throw rubbish out of moving vehicle, they don't package rubbish from the homes and dispose of them in the open. Generally speaking, GHANAIANS themselves have failed their country by creating the filth around them and I believe MR NDUOM should know better than the rubbish he is spewing. As a member of the Kuffour Administration and obviously under VP Aliu MAHAMA as well, why didn't he tell that to Alui Mahama when he launched is campaign on keeping the environment clean ? Am I missing something ? This man has disappointed me, I thought he should have known better than expose himself in such a manner. YOUR COUNTRY PEOPLE ARE JUST DIRTY, IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNLAWLESS . THEY SHOULD STOP WASTING THE TAX COLLECTED BY GOVERNMENT BY KEEPING THEIR OWN ENVIRONMENT CLEAN. IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK OF DIRTY IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE ?
