With all these man-made problems, we Ghanaians brag as if we are the best on the African continent. In this 21st century, if we cannot supply uninterrupted electricity for our citizens then we should admit that we have failed very bad. No excuse whatsoever. Those who brag of having whatever educational qualifications are the most useless of all.

Setting up a committee to monitor load shedding in my opinion is nonsense. The nations energy problem has nothing to do actually with the distribution of power but rather the generation. A solution must be found to generate more energy, and that will solve the DUMSOR DUMSOR. There seemt to be a hidden thruth about the power generation. There is nothing wrong with the water level at Akosombo but rather the faulty turbines. From the 6 turbines installed in the 1960's, only 2 are working. Ghana is still providing power to TOGO & Benin from Akosombo, and for the past 40 years. Ivory Coast enjoy's power generated from BUI since it's completion, and before then also from Akosombo. A technically maintained turbine can generate power from a flowing stream. There is no use in forming a committee to monitor load shedding. The solution is just simple, Ghana must generate it's needed power from a combination of Gas & Coal. 90% of the European countries have adopted this system and are shunning away from nuclear plants. Those at the helm of planning & managing the country's energy are useless.

How should we understand this supply of power to Togo, Benin and Ivory Coast while we don't have sufficient supply? No parent will send food outside while her children are dying of hunger. Ghanaians' culture of ignoring maintenance is a very dangerous practise and must be stoped without delay. With Bui and Akosombo dams at our disposal, I see no reason why we cry for power; this is simply unacceptable, Gov't must sit straight about this !!!!!!

OK LOOK AT THIS CHRONICLE OF ECG CRIMES:
1/ THEY COLLECT MONEY FROM OPERATORS OF DSTV CINEMAS, SHOWING FOOTBALL GAMES.TO BREAK THE LOAD SHEDDING REGULATION.
2/ THEY COLLECT MONEY FROM BARS AND RESTAURANTS PLAYING MUSIC FOR MINI DANCE HALLS.
3/ THEY SHARE METERS AMONGST THEM SELVES AND SELL AT HIGHER PRICES WHIST INNOCENT CONSUMERS ARE KEPT ON LONG WAITING LISTS.
THESE ARE SOME OF THE REASON WHY THEY CAN NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE LOAD SHEDDING LIST FOR US TO FOLLOW.
THEY AID AND ABET ILLEGAL CONNECTIONS, NO ONE WOULD DARE DO IT WITH OUT THEIR HELP AND PROTECTION.
CHECK THESE OUT AND YOU WILL SEE THE TROUBLE. SOME OF THEM ARE POLITICAL AGENTS SABOTAGING THE GOVT. BOTH MAJOR PARTIES HAVE THEM IN ADEQUATE PROPORTIONS IN ALL GOVT. INSTITUTIONS.

Now the ECG has set up a committee for load shedding, where is the committee to coordinate with the power production companies for continuos long-term supply of electricity in the country? ECG is loosing its strategic direction and seems to be putting more efforts in load shedding than future planning requirements and coordination with stakeholders. This is the Ghana we live in today.
