The Mahama NDC gov't is looting, thieving and squandering the petroleum revenue on frivolities and PIAC as the body mandated to check such wantonness, looting and thievery is being rendered inactive to facilitate the outrageous and sickening looting and thievery of the petroleum revenue by the Mahama NDC gov't.
Ghana needs to take a stand against such impunity, because such crassness by the Mahama NDC gov't, leading to the looting and thieving of the petroleum revenue without the mandated checks by PIAC, would be the death of the country.
The role, significance and importance of PIAC in providing the badly needed checks and balances with respect to the petroleum revenue, is under threat by the Mahama NDC gov't, and Ghana should be very afraid, very, very afraid, when the eagle eyes of the PIAC is gouged out, by the blatant and deliberate crippling of the mandate of PIAC by the Mahama NDC gov't, leading to an unrestrained and unbridled looting and thievery of the petroleum funds. Such a state of affairs cannot be the direction that Ghana needs to go. PIAC needs to be resourced fully to arrest the inappropriate motives of the Mahama NDC gov't.

Always going to press first, is not the right way of dealing with matters which have implication with government. Every innuendo and unsubstantiated allegation which come to public domain have consequences on the nation, internally and externally. By its name, PIAC presupposed to be an independent, non-partisan committee; it should corroborate with government on sensitive matters that affect the nation before going to press for dissemination. No government can operate, freely, if all it does in the perceived interest of the nation is openly challenged anytime, by any group suspecting a wrong doing. This is not to say the government should not be challenged if something is wrong in its policies; far from it!

Mahama is deliberately disabling the few critical state institutions that are trying to put the government on its toes by starving them of the funds to do their work. This has been the dirty tactic of this ndc government. The other time one such state organization had its roofs removed overnight! Shameless John Mahama will do anything to continue the looting agenda!
