Let us not forget that our hospitals, roads and schools are in deplorable conditions, therefore, the nation's unreasonable spending priority on football and refurbishing of the parliament is shamefully misplaced. Is football more important than the mothers and children who are in various maternity wards with no water and electricity around the country? Is refurbishing of parliament more of a priority than repairing the large potholes in our roads which are causing accidents and killing innocent Ghanaian tax payers everyday?

You read comments like this and your blood boils.A culprit in the process of being questioned as to how the money was spent spat this nonsense from his mouth " I am a public figure and I can be questioned to a limit". Even Obama has no limit when it comes to accountability. The new minister must break off with the old order of things, because that is how others used to corrupt the system. He was asked to give account of how money's had been spent, so he should have explained how we got these 'five other officials' outside the team FIFA had catered for.

Follow up on the discrepancies between GFA's data and those of the contacts.

If there's gross misrepresentation of the true financial picture of the World Cup campaign, indict the principals and prosecute them.

Just calling and asking them to give you an oral account of what happened lends itself to inefficacy because of the proclivity of the invitees to lie and the apathy of committee, commission and parliament members to take comprehensive notes.
