The errors you see in Mercy's article are not deliberate but a mere oversight. Wangara, you must be ashamed of yourself. You are even worse. Look at the funny grammar you wrote in the first line of your comment: " Did Ghana signed up...." Simple grammar and you could not handle it and you call Mercy bogus. Let me teach you a simple grammar. When you use DO or DID the verb that follows the pronoun must be a present tense. Bogus Wangara.

Just ask somebody with at least 45% I.Q to explain why I wrote the Subject: Bogus Adede ("Did Ghana signed up")??? for my comment.

Frankwise, people complaining about the petty faults in Mercy's writing have a point. It is true that they still got the message but it is annoying to read something, even if it is good, that has petty grammatical mistakes. The mistakes are not beyond Mercy's ability so they are the result of CARELESSNESS on her part. If she had carefully read through her own work, she could have picked them out and corrected them herself.
It is also very good to let a second pair of eyes read through whatever one has written. There are certain petty mistakes that escape us (because we are the author who is too familiar with our work) which a second set of eyes will easily pick out. There is nothing wrong in asking a friend to quickly read through one's work before releasing it to the public.
It is only decent on the part of writers to take steps to edit their work before asking the public to read it. It is only a mark of courtesy to do so - and a respect of the reader.
Mercy is one of the few ladies who write for us and I fully support her and will encourage her to continue writing. But she should read through her works more carefully.

The Finance Minister only throws dust in the eyes of people. What he must know is that he cannot underestimate the intelligence of Ghanaians.
