You stopped short, by acknowledging Nana Akufo-Addo's vision to introduce Free SHS education program. Now that it's a known fact that many schools chalked 100% failure in their BECE exams, you're telling Ghanaians that Quality education is critical. You must have learnt or realised by now that quality education is key to a nation's development; not the kind of JSS thing your NDC gov't has forced on Ghanaians. Most post-JSS graduates can't write good English.

SERIOUSLY, ALL PRIVATE HEALTH SERVICE PROVIDERS MUST MEET TO ANNOUNCE THE OBITUARY OF THE NHIS AND START 'CASH AND CARRY' IF THEY DON'T WANT THIS PROPAGANDA-INFESTED NDC GOVT TO COLLAPSE THEIR BUSINESSES. AFTER ALL THE KNUST HOSPITAL AND PRESTEA GOVT HOSPITAL HAVE STARTED 'CASH AND CARRY.' Don't say that Joe Turkey. Okudzeto Ablakwa is a product of Legon. The only thing is that NDC apparatchiks are hypocrites; they opposed Nana Akufo-Addo's idea to introduce Free SHS asking him all sorts of questions. They even said it's not possible to introduce such a program. But when it became clear that Nana's idea has been bought by many Ghanaians they turned around to say NDC will soon implement Free SHS, esp. when it has become obvious that many schools and the candidates have failed in their BECE exams by 100%. NDC, as I've always pointed out is "Sasabonsam" party; they're full of diabolical ideas and venom.

Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Communication, said the forum formed part of the transformational agenda of the NDC Government to secure the nation a medium development status.
Mr. Paul Evans Aidoo, the Regional Minister, who gave the profile of Region, said it contributed to more than 50 per cent of the country's GDP.
He explained that the Region had vast mineral resources and was the leading producer of cocoa, gold, bauxite, manganese, rubber, coconut and oil palm.
On Education, the Minister said the government had undertaken massive infrastructural development since 2009.
He said some contracts were awarded for the construction of six and three classroom blocks as well as two-unit Kindergarten G blocks.

Isaac, you have made my day. This is actually what our so-called leaders talk about quality education. I at times just wonder why we can be so wicked to ourselves just to create, loot, and share. Our people are not interested in providing any quality to anything be it in health, education, agric and what have you. All they are interested in is providing infrastructure through which they can inflate the cost and take the excess and kick backs for future political campaigns in order to remain in power, and to enrich themselves. Now that we are approaching 2016, you will see the many unnecessary schools that would be built just to get money from those contracts and do political campaigns. We are all watching. Nobody is a fool these days. What is the use of power if it is not meant for true service? Do we actually need new 200 SHSs? Why can we not improve upon and expand the existing infrastructure of the already existing schools to accommodate the the increasing student population? Just visit some of the SHSs and see the deplorable state they are in and you will weep for this country. Some of our hospitals lack some basic equipments to deliver quality health care and instead of providing these, our people are interested in providing more CHIPS compounds, clinics and what have you. Meanwhile, the people to work in these new structures cannot be motivated to work and provide that quality delivery we are all talking about. How many of newly trained nurses and teachers are not demonstrating now because they have not been paid for years and many months? They do not even have the basic necessary tools to work with. What is the use of building a new SHS when you cannot equip the libraries, and the Science laboratories? There are some SHSs where accommodation is even a problem.
Until we all come out of our greed, I beg to say that we cannot come out of the woods of our underdevelopment. Let us imitate the white man who is interested in both quantity and quality. Providing quality education and health care is not just empty rhetoric. If we equip our hospitals with the necessary tools no one in Ghana would go to South Africa or the US or the UK for treatment. Government officials should not deceive themselves that because they alone have the material resources they can afford to go to any of these places for treatment when the need arises and allow the poor masses to die in Ghana. Let what happened to the late P.V. Obeng serve as an example to them. He could not even reach any of the less endowed hospitals in Ghana for treatment. It can happen to any of them. This is to any government in power, be it AZY or NYY. It is not just directed to the current crop of political leaders but to whoever may assume political power. Let us all reflect on this and change for the better for money is not everything. It cannot provide you life or else our late president Mills and others would not have died so soon.

This NDC government thinks Ghanaians are fools. We stood in the sun to vote for you all for you to tell us you can't employ anyone into the public sector. Don't forget some poor parents go for loans to pay their kids school fees, how do they pay back if they are not working?. your aim is for young graduate to establish their own business when they can't even feed themselves?. You talk about quality education, after that education what are we going to eat?.. it is now becoming obvious that learning a trade is better than going through waste of time SHS and Tertiary education because your friends who learnt a trade would be able to take care of himself while you would still be depending on your parent because of unemployment.

The Takoradi Poly Students who were sacked for applying with fake certificates must be prosecuted in a court of competent jurisdiction. Just sacking them is not enough.
Nowadays businesses and government organisations have stopped demanding Secondary School Certificate or Basic Education Certificate.
Each of these certificates are important. For example for many tertiary graduates the only certificate that can tell whether one can speak good English or whether one has adequate knowledge of Mathematics is the Secondary School Certificate.
Similarly the only certificate that can tell whether a tertiary graduate has basic knowledge of Ghanaian history, culture, agriculture and the basic geography of West Africa is the Basic Education Certificate.
