Governance is not just giving jobs to the boys. It is serious business and requires serious minds. Was the MD provided with electricity that he refused to distribute? William Hutton-Mensah was an under achiever at the ECG because he never had foresight and never requested for needed tools to make a dent in ECG preventable failure.

Tell me, Mr. Amewu what has driving some of the most expensive fleet of vehicles and models around Ghana's metropolitan communities have to do with tackling leakage in power distribution system and unapproved electricity connections? ECG was never able to formulate and implement a plan on a grid-like pattern that would have helped ECG apprehend illegal connections. They chose to go after authorized subscribers who were less than 60-days in arrears even as millions got power for free.

This is also another attempt to stem the raging controversy of the NDC gov't's involvement in the drug trade.
If the generating sources such as VRA, Bui and Atuabo had been generating the electricity at it's fullest capacity and it was not being distributed by ECG, then sacking the ECG Boss would have been justified.
Just a few days ago, the VRA was making the case for an investment of over $1.5billion dollars to address the generating capacity of VRA, as well as to meet the growing demand for electric power.
Juxtaposing this against the fact that, the Mahama NDC gov't managed to scatter the national kitty leading to the looting of over Ghc8.7billion new Ghana cedis or over $5billion dollars in the last 2 months of 2012, shows a clear lack of prioritization and judicious use of funds, but an unrepentant and obnoxious and repugnant propensity for looting and thievery at the expense of the needed investment in the critical infrastructural projects to drive growth and development of the country.
The dismissal of the ECG Boss is clearly unwarranted and totally misplaced, because it does not fix the issues at the very core of the dumsor, dumsor, which the Mahama NDC gov't has been telling Ghanaians it is a thing of the past since 2009 because the funds to drive generation capacity has been looted by the Mahama family and friends looting brigade.
Ghana desperately needs a new direction and purpose because the Mahama NDC gov't has failed in all spheres of governance and needs to be massively jettisoned at the ballot box in 2016.
Hardworking Ghana workers pension funds have not even been spared the grotesque looting and unmatched thievery. Surely, this is not a gov't that is concerned with the development of the country. The Mahama NDC gov't has to go!!!.
