one headache about this tobacco tax increment is that our boaders are toooooo porous in oder to track the smuggling of these substances into the country. so instead of government increasing the tax rate, government should rather work on how to seal these boaders if not the fight will be priceless

Here we are in Ghana, a land well and uniquely located in the world by God with everything that any human being will need to live well; a land that most countries are envious of and would exchange for theirs in a moment; and yet we utterly refuse to give thanks but to denigrate what we have and cry for more instead of taking care of what we have and adding value to it. How about God turning our land into a sahara desert?

I wonder when Ghanaians will stop always complaining.So increasing tax on cigarettes is a crime the government has committed? How do ghanaians expect the government to raise taxes for development if it cannot levy taxes on cigarettes and alcohol which are classified as high duty goods even in developed countries?Ghanaians are good at criticising but do little for the development of the country.
