In my humble opinion, Ghanaians are at present sandwiched between two evils; and are left with no other choice but to choose between two evils NDC or NPP; either way Ghanaians are caught/stuck between a rock and a hard place, that is they are punked. Ghanaians now have learn to swim or sink. Kufuor said corruption has it Genesis from Adam and his famous mantra was "provide the evidence" which favoured his cronies. NDC is no better and no lesser evil of the two; but Ghanaians have a third alternative which is the CPP. Try It! The ingenuity of Ghanaians to corrupt everything they lay their hands on begs for a total overhauling of our society. The next bold or big thing in 2016 Ghana is an all-inclusive goverment. That way we will be each others watch dog. That is the only way forward.

We had eight years of NPP government and times were certainly better for us than we have found ourselves in under the six years of GYEEDA,SUBAH,SADA,NSS and least of all Woyome stealling from us a whopping fifty one million.
The NDC and its head corruptible Mahama must give way to the NPP.
At least if I am poor but the sacrifice is giving all children in Ghana some free education then my sacrifice is worth it.

How a person who can read and write and can at the same time be so bereft of knowledge, beats my imagination. If you think you are so smart that you have the superior knowledge to discern and come to the conclusion that Africans are not sufficiently intelligent, what are you, presumably an outstanding African of intelligent ability, doing about it?

If you think Mahama, Zuma and Issa Hayatou are bad people, you go on and try Hitler, Mussolini (Il Duce), Ronald Reagan, Charles De Gaule, the Queen of England and her lineage, George Bush and the countless other white people who stole and looted countless trillions worth of mineral resources from many countries around the world which they held in colonial dictatorship for many centuries. They also enslaved many other hundreds of millions of innocent Africans and cut them off from their lineage and history and exterminated millions of them who resisted slavery, colonialism and the theft of their lands and countries. What can be worse than this? Even the so-called crimes that Hitler is said to have committed against Jews, pale into insignificance when the subject of the real history and the actual truths about the slave trade and colonialism are brought up into the open for discussion.

These truths have been consciously hidden from the likes of you for strategic reasons by global imperialism to make it seem that they are civilized people who have our sympathy at heart. At least in your case, they have succeeded in doing so.

That Africans are even still in existence, is in itself, a miracle. Many other races of people around the world have been simply wiped out by the evil and greed of the people for whom by your statement, you have chosen to become a blind slave, an inanimate loud-speaker for their cause and a stooge to their greedy aims.

It is people like you, who think like you, who have by default retarded the progress of the people of Africa who, as a matter of fact, have, as a whole, not yet recovered from the terrible repercussions of the 'post slavery/colonialism traumatic syndrome'.

It seems that it is difficult for you to come to grips with the many reasons why Africans continue to generally lag behind in progress. It also seems that your tirade against Africans is probably due to disappointment rather than facts. In that sense, I sympathize with you.

You must open your eyes wide by re-orientating your understanding of world affairs by reading and referring to the increasing number of independent and progressive sources of news and information.

If you continue to rely on the traditional imperialist sources of information and the warped education that was inflicted upon all of us, you will miss the boat and you will continue to be as ignorant as you have portrayed yourself and also continue to think of all Africans, as per the substance of your comment, as stupid (less intelligent than white people). Journalist Manasseh Azure Awuni says any adult who says corruption has not reached a crisis point in Ghana is either a fool, a crook or a beneficiary of the canker.

He said corruption had reached such intolerable levels that all must speak up.

Manasseh Awuni says keeping quiet over corruption in the country for fear of being tagged politically, amounts to actively promoting corruption which has plagued the nation.

He said silence does nothing but only gives the people who perpetuate the act the courage to keep doing what they do, knowing full well that there is no punishment whatsoever for it.

Speaking at a forum organised by Occupy Ghana and IMANI, Mr Awuni said “nobody will recognise your neutrality if you decide to keep quiet for fear of being tagged” adding “it is useless to have principles if you’re not prepared to suffer for them”.

The award-winning journalist said “we must all learn to suffer for what we believe in and stand for what is good for the advancement of society and live beyond the fear of vilification; for the fear of being tagged, some people say they are neutral, but that is an option, deciding not to be corrupt comes with a price”.

He said the many laws against corruption are useless unless they are properly activated and enforced.

He said even though speaking up against the practice of corruption is difficult, the only way to help curb the menace is to be open, ready and willing to name and shame persons found to have perpetrated the act.

Manasseh shared a testimony where a young man mired in one of the corruption scandals said he could not have an erection for weeks merely because his name had been mentioned on radio. He said this to make the case whilst there are no prosecutions, exposing corruption alone can achieve a certain positive result.

He accused his colleague journalists of being amongst the most corrupt people in the country, saying that they have sold their souls to politicians.

He noted that every politician or public official will want a journalist they can use for their own selfish gains but warned colleague journalists to be wary because “they [politicians] will never respect you."

“We must cease to be like programmed robots, only reporting from press conferences and re-echoing what one party says. Let us dignify ourselves and stop contributing to the destruction of the country", he concluded.

He noted that it was encouraging to know that aside the media, several other groups have taken up the fight against corruption and citizens are becoming conscious about the need to fight corruption.

This, he says, is sending a strong message that corruption has reached an intolerable level and that certain fundamental flaws have thwarted our progress in the fight against corruption.

The attitude of politicising corruption, according to him, only gives corrupt officials the opportunity to find solace in their political parties but that does not help to deal with the situation in any way.

He said the fight against corruption will only be successful if citizens make a conscious effort to unite and not think that voting a particular party out of power will help solve the problem because the fight becomes meaningful only when efforts are sustained beyond one regime.

He appealed to President Mahama to use all the powers available to him to ensure that all persons known to have perpetrated corrupt acts are duly punished for their crimes to serve as a deterrent to others.

If those in uniform understand the law properly, they can use their discretion in situations like these. Do you think such a policeman can arrest this AMA boss if he finds himself on the wrong side of the law? Who determines that 'the big man' has broken the law and must be arrested at once? Infact,politics is civil servant job and people who indulge in it are suppose to serve but unfortunately for us in Ghana,they do so with different reasons/motives.
It's so sad but unless the mentality of many Ghanaians modifies,those you singled out wouldn't do any better.

Because of the court case even our own relatives abroad suspended their building projects at home; investors slowed down on bringing dollars and we ourselves were glued to the TV and radio not working. Tax revenues went down in 2013.. By the end of 2013 the situation was so bad Government found it difficult to pay salaries in January 2014.

You can see that since after the verdict things became worst for Ghana but beginning from 2014 we have started working and slowly we are getting stabilized. NPP should pay severely for causing the hardships on us

And it does not matter which political party is in power; their mindset is the same and the result the same as well.
These thieves travel to other places and observe how those countries go about their business, but they go back home and it business as usual.
Rawlings was in power for 20 years and at the end what did he have to show for? Nothing other than killing his fellow Ghanaians and driving people out of the country in droves!!!! Twenty years of wasted opportunity.
Then came NPP and NDC and the result has been the same or even worse. Selfless leadership is obviously lacking. Ghana needs new selfless and aggressive leaders who will put in place the legal and social infrastructure that will put sanity into the system and spearhead development.
Everytime I travel from Ghana to either Europe or the U.S. I notice that the further I travel from Ghana and Africa the less chaotic and more organized those other places are!!! Why can't we be the same?
