Ghanaians have to up their political debates if we want to move the country forward. We must not only criticise, but be in a position to offer alternatives. I do think the Journalists have a supreme and ethical responsibility to their profession and the Ghanaian population at large to always ask very hard hitting questions, and not only publish what politicians say.
This gentleman is the Ashanti Regional chairman of NPP, and as such occupies a very influential position within the party. What alternatives has he come up with? As a serious and patriotic politician, he should have made a suggestion to the President to delegate some of his travels to the respective High Commissions and Embassies officials in these places he visits. These are alternative policies, and the Ghanaian electorate will hold him and his party accountable if given the mandate and they fall to deliver on their promises.
I, however think they all waffle because they are all birds of the same feather, as well as bedbugs ready to suck the blood of the poor.
For Ghana to move ahead, we need to come up with 5 yearly development plans as Nkrumah did, else we better forget it.
