Countries train their doctors differently and award different degrees. It is time we started conferring Doctor of Medicine degrees to MBChB students who have performed the necessary research projects as some countries do.

Countries train their doctors differently and award different degrees. It is time we started conferring Doctor of Medicine degrees to MBChB students who have performed the necessary research projects as some countries do.

The current practice where newly inducted doctors called house officers with no experience whatsoever are left to experiment with (attend to) serious medical cases while residents, specialists and consultants are away must be put to a stop immediately. There must be at least one specialist present 24 hours in three shift rotations to supervise them. Our health system as it is presently is not the best. The situation in the countryside and rural communities is even worse.

The question will be what is the Government doing to help the tourism industry locally? Mole Park is awful, beaches filled with "brown logs", hotels are dirty and expensive - actually tell me again why anyone should travel to Ghana !!!

It`s waist of money to go for holidays in such country.Most of the people very premative and begging for money every corner. All so called cities in ghana to me are big villages.Even most of the shops trying to sell things more expensive for Tourist. If you see how they are selling fruits in the market laying mostly on the dirty floor you can only vormit from that.Dirty beach with so many criminals moving around to steal from tourist.Most of the hotels there are dirty and expensive full of cocroch and under the international standard.If you come out from there and you not sich then thank God. If the minister want tourist in ghana then she must ask even the Gambia or Kenya.Also need to develop there. Constant water and eletricity supply and educate most of the primative people to stop begging from each street.

You are right about the dirty beaches in Accra.You are wrong, however, about most Ghanaians being primitive. Some are, not most. When I go to the market, I see produce lying on mats on the ground - they are not directly on the ground. You are correct, sanitation is a problem. Also some of the people begging on the street are not Ghanaian. Some are Fulanis from countries that are north of us. Educating someone does not necessarily mean that they will be able to find a job to support themselves and their families. Perhaps, some people are begging because they have suffered some misfortune.
Judging from your writing, it does not seem to me as if you were educated in the English language (if you are indeed educated).Your spelling and grammar in the piece above is rather lacking. I suggest that you look at yourself before you suggest that anyone be educated. You are calling people primitive and you cannot even spell the word. There are so called primitive people in every country - even in Germany! I am also not sure why you need to put your location beside your name. Is it because it is overseas? Most civilized people do not write their location (if it is overseas) because living overseas does not make them special. It is only backward people who think that living overseas somehow makes them better than others. Achievements and decent treatment of fellow human beings are examples of things that make a person special. Most people do not care whether you live abroad.

To date, Ghana is free of Ebola thanks to the tight boarder control of Côte D'ivoire with Sierra Leone and Guinea . I can bet that if Ghana was Sharing boarders with any of the Ebola infested countries , we would have been telling a sad story.
The proof is that we have not even been able to control the influx of fulanis and their cattle and other nationals who are pouring into GH .
