Is it not hypocrisy? In the days Eli his two sons Hophini and Phinehas kept extorting from the people of God and they will do it with all the force leaving the congregation bad offering to offer as sacrifice to God. (1 Samuel CH.2) HYPOCRITS
What goes on in our churches today?
Unnecessary Appeal for funds, Offertory and Tithes
What language do they use to extort monies from the people?
We want Ten People to donate 500gh, Nine people to give 400gh, Eight people to donate 300gh, Seven people to Donate 200ghc and so on and on till the last person. This is aside what people will give as normal offering for the day that might be once, twice or thrice.
The people are then asked to pay their church dues and some who belong to some association will pay for uniforms and travelling expenses.
Meetings organised by all groups and association centre on how to mobilise funds for the growth of the church.
I have nothing against telling people to give but greatly have a problem when you don’t question the source of these incomes in the offering box? The evil enters the church and donates greatly and tomorrow he becomes the church president. His kids will be lured to take up priestly and pastoral training and in future becomes the head of the Christian community. What do you think will happen to the people of God?
They are bent on leading the people astray by twisting the truth to soothe their whims and caprices.
Can they truthfully say Ghana is hard than 1979 to 1983? When we used to queue to buy a tin of milk? Why have they been so ungrateful to God for all the graces and mercies around us?
Why have they kept quite when it is unequivocally true that John Agyekum Kuffour plundered the economy with his cronies like ( JH Mensa, Kwamina Bartels, Hackman Owusu Agyeman , Professor Ameyaw Ekumfi, Adumadze and many more who are so silent today enjoying their booty as if they are dead. Where were your voices when all these rot were happening? Were you also involved?
Why have you raise your voice against a government who is trying to fix the rot?
Why are you speaking against anything positive and turning the pulpit to campaign and politicise every government programme? Beware of the wrath of God; He who leads one of these ones astray will not be better than being thrown into the sea with a mile stone tied around their neck.
There existed professional prophets in days of Jeroboam king of Israel , whose sole duty is to prophesise to the king for food and their living allowance.
There came Amos from nowhere near the prophet band after he has encounter God in the sycamore vine to warn the King not to take Israel to war.
Because these stomach prophets knew they will loose their wages, should they accept Amos’ prophesy, impressed upon the king to send Amos away to prophesise to his kinsmen for bread.
The king did not heed to Amos` advice and took Israel to war against its enemies…..HE WHO HAS EARS LET HIM HEAR!!!!
All those who are pushing him (Nana Addo) will do him a great harm and regret for the rest of their lives. He cannot do anything new than being a replica of Kuffour`s rule; in addition to an obvious arrogant perception everyone sees of him. His intentions are black n white (DIE HARD) Nana Van dam but still he will die because he pronounced dead for himself. Only simple minded will fool for him…..Nana is not an achiever neither can he boast of any successful ambition than mischief. He is totally living on legacy which is not his toil but from the booty his forefathers pilfered from the state.
Mischievous words like these can only be spewed by people like you and Professor Martey, Bishop Asante Antwi, Mensa Otabil and Others. Do you really serve the God who made the heavens and the earth? I will imagine your disappointment if you die to see God as a person you really hate. How can you discriminate when you call yourself a follower of Christ? Your political stance has waterred down what I revered you for. Your opinions and expressions are full of malice against a group of people who were also created by the same God you serve. Why have taken stance and speak ill of one publicly whilst you are mute on your favourites. Beware!!! And if you have forgotten read Matt 18 verse 6……

Kuffour`s MATREKO PRESIDENTIAL INITIATIVES?
When JAKE OBETSEBI LAMPTEY whose father a traitor and a suicide bomber used state funds to refurbished state bungalow and paid peanut for it when this bungalow can be reuse by future state leaders.
When another son of a traitor who claims to be a lawyer cannot prove his operating licence or law certificate? Do you think it is appropriate for innocent people to be convicted and sent to prison by the action and inactions of an uncertified Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo; who is perceived to be operating illegally?
HYPOCRITE PROPHET use your pulpit wisely and do the right thing. Don’t use the house of God to trade and deceive the people. You are really confused seek God well and don’t allow your emotions to taint Gods image.

Do Otabil think Ghanaians don't observe and learn that there is no for instance reliable energy supply? Have we solved it? What is Otabil's university observing and learning that is different from Legon, KNUST, etc? Isn't it the same books based on observation and learning experiences of white man?

We just observe and learn what white man says such as food, God, governance, etc. Look at the world's landscape where has Ghana led the way out of problems for this world? Because we 'grow = educate' out of other peoples problems leaving our brains dead to deal with our own issues. Brains so weak to do anything positive different from white man unless is about corruption and decay.

Unfortunately this situation is being taken to a higher level by the lack of improvement in our state school system by replacing it with the so called private 'CASH AND CARRY' schools and universities.
Things can only get worse as Ghana will continue to produce graduates who are only

The only way many people will take Otabil/Duncan serious is for them to do Ghanaians a favor by staying away from politics, I will suggest they learn a thing or two from the Chief Imam. Ghanaians have already given them enough and the only thing they can do in return is, to be contempt with what they have and remove their political attire and wear the red-gold-green with the black star. If we get non partisan clerics/elder statesmen, non stomach journalist and development oriented think tanks, we can easily help the people to make better choices of the legislative which will reflect to the executive and will bring the judiciary onboard. AFRICA/GHANA MUST SUCCEED.

say its not wisdom based and i will agree because the teaching curricula does contain the information to pass down knowledge to us but its our attitude towards recieving that knowledge. we live in an era where teachers deliberately refuse to impart that knowledge to students during the stipulated working hours so that the can organise extra classess ti impart that same knowledge based on the ssame curricula to the students. students also pay so much school fees, refuse to learn and aquire that knowledge which they seek in school then pay extra cost to buy examination questions and results, these same poeple come back into the world of work and expose themselves that indeed all their schooling time they did not gain the knowlegde. please pastor preach the wisdom of acquiring knowledge to our generation so that we and they do not perish in futur

For certain subjects, students need to learn the facts, particularly things that cannot be seen even under the microscope or with a telescope. A student cannot know and understand photosynthesis by merely observing a green leaf. One cannot know about electrons by just observing a copper wire conducting electricity. The ten or so systems of the human body have to be thoroughly learned. Often, these are considered foundational topics. They are the building blocks for creative thinking, application, and innovation.

What is prominently lacking in our system is the APPLICATION of knowledge to real life, and the teachers are to blame.

If the examination questions are properly constructed, students would have no choice but to learn and understand the subject matter as it relates to the real world.

Take for instance the process of photosynthesis, by which plants harness the sun's energy. Rather than making a student regurgitate the process verbatim, a good teacher would ask the students: "Justify this statement: without the sun there could be no life on earth".

Examination questions ought to be designed to stimulate thinking and the application of knowledge. That should be the most important purpose of education.

Reason why Ghana's education is in decline is multi-fold.Firstly, teachers are not motivated enough through remuneration to give off their best. Secondly, lack of modern text books in schools make it difficult for students to have anything to learn from.Thirdly, the curriculum is archaic and still designed along colonial lines that does not encourage new thinking. Fourthly, teachers and professors themselves don't write books or text books with local content. Lack of writing by educators have students learning foreign materials that does not apply to local content. Fifthly , Ghana's education was negatively influenced by cheap politics when J.J and his behemoth NDC government chose to go JSS and SSS. This transition without thoughful deliberation from the experts on the ground, brought Ghana's ones envious education system to a halt.

Mensah Otabil should just close down his university and save us that pain of lying to us that the graduates from his university are the best in the whole world. Knowledge is applied in society, we mean a society in which one can apply his knowledge. A carpenter can not apply his knowledge when there is no wood and tools for him to work with. Create a productive society and you will see that people will be challenged to apply their knowledge, gain skills and expand their knowledge.
