That is not true,in the first place he is not supposed to be in that jail but that judge abused her powers sending him to jail without following due process just because he allegedly said the judge was corrupt.
The man was working in the interest of the people but that judge being one of the enemies of progress abused her powers acting as police,prosecutor and a judge sending him to jail which which the president should have also revoked immediately granting him clemency right after that sentencing .
If somebody accused you of being corrupt do you jail the person to silence him using a tape recording,why not sue him for defamation of character in a civil court?
The president should stop listening to the so called groups who are always hiding behind their political colors to get people fired.

Nonsense in the highest order,got preferential treatment and so what!

Most of these DCEs,MCEs etc are potential prison inmates they are only walking around freely bcos our laws are not working.Do you know the billions of Ghana cedis they've misappropriated?Decent people are not proud of prison.

In the first place that guy was performing his official duty to make sure the view of the few does not override that of the majority.
That market which was a nuisance to a school,magistrate court and a police station was ordered demolish by a Cape Coast High Court but for some reason known to that enemy of progress judge acting on behalf of very few placed injunction on the demolition forgetting that her colleague in the name of the same court ordered the demolition but when the man was reportedly caught on tape saying she was corrupt she used that tape without referring it to even the police investigation but used her powers as a judge to jail the man which is part of the corruption in the country .
What will happen if the president or the executive also start arresting people who are accusing them of corruption because they have the control of the police?
What happened was abused of the court system which will not happen in any civilized country.

Sell hks assets to compensate for those he wronged and remove him.from office. Market reconstruction, bridges, sanitation etc don't fall under the jurisdiction of the dce. They fall under the jurisdiction of the regional minister and his cabinet. What are the duties of a dce:
1. Consider the well being and interest of residents in the municipality.
2. DEVELOP and evaluate policies and programs
3. Determine which services the municipality provides
4. Ensure administrative practices and procedures are in place.
5. Maintain the financial integrity of the municipality
6. Adhere to and carry out all duties of district Council

Several years ago, Andy was sentenced to prison. During his stay, he got along well with the guards and all his fellow inmates. The warden saw that deep down, Andy was a good person and made arrangements for Andy to learn a trade while doing his time.

After 3 years, Andy was recognized as one of the best carpenters in the local area. Often he would be given a weekend pass to do odd jobs for the citizens of the community, and he always reported back to prison before Sunday night was over.

The warden was thinking of remodeling his kitchen and in fact had done much of the work himself. But he lacked the skills to build a set of kitchen cupboards and a large counter top which he had promised his wife. So he called Andy into his office and asked him to complete the job for him. But, alas, Andy refused. He told the warden, "Gosh, I'd really like to help you but counter fitting is what got me into prison in the first place."

There seems to be so much envyness amongst a lot of Ghanaians particularly those seeking power through political means, looking the the 4 years mandate of political power, these selfish fellows are always looking to finding faults with their fellow colleagues in position and go round in the name of hurried form groups to call on the President to remove the fellow so they or their cronies can be put in the vacant power, these are the people who are then ready to embarrass the government and party by indulging in criminal and corrupt practice. if the DCE is going round saying he had special treatment, what has that got to do with removing him from office, who is in control of the Prisons.Is it true he had special treatment, he may be saying so to cover his personal embarrassment, it never never hurts anybody.STOP THE ENVY AND BACKBITING Mr. Philip Yaw Korankye
