Ghanaians should be VERY VERY CAREFUL in dealing with unknown people about any transaction involving money. I was nearly duped recently by fake people who g me pretended they were interested in a car I am selling. I was too smart for them. Many people have fallen victim to these scams. A business man based at Dawenya was duped heavily after some people had supplied hardware to him and established some trust.

Ghanaians have lived in denial for too long and should come out and accept there are Ghanaian criminals more daring than Nigerians you Ghanaians have always pointed fingers to. Ghanaians are cowards and so tgey resort to very cunning and smart methords to deprive unsuspecting people of their possesions. What happened to Sidiku Buari can never succeed in Nigeria bcos the Nigerian criminal will confront you head-on to sieze the car and will not adopt the usual Ghanaian blue print tricks to rob you. Ghanaians should stop living in denial and stop pointing at Nigerians whenever a Ghanaian commits any crime by simply probing into his name and denying a Ghanaian couldn't bare that name or couldn't commit such heineous crime. Ghanaian criminals are the dangerous type bcos they commit their dastarly acts moving around secretly like EBOLA.

Surely, with our Oil find, we will be breeding more criminals. Some international expert criminals would find us an easy target to prey on and land in the Country to practice their illicit trade. And they would recruit and train local collaborators who would lead the way in most cases to commit these horrible crimes against us.
We must be vigilant and ready to take these criminals on. We could soon graduate into car-jacking, too, if our Law Enforcement is not beefed up and better equipped.

G K Berko, pls don't decieve yourself thinking some experts flock into your country Ghana to train Ghanaians criminality, your response again reinforces the usual Ghsnaian self denial of criminal and fraudulent behaviour of average Ghanaian youth. Thousands of Ghsnaian youth are jobless and they crave for life in comfort; does that require anyone to train them survive in a country which oil find is albeit very negligible in international oil business. G K Berko, don't decieve yourself; Ghanaian jobless youth have adopted 419 a way of survival in a country that continue to pretend everything is Ok economicaly while many go to bed hungry and hoping endlessly for a better day, hense Ghanaians resort to crime as a means of survival.

My comment did not intend to dump the blame of any miscreant, criminal behavior by Ghanaians on outsiders. What I intended to show is the fact that Oil boom, like in any similar explosive economic opportunity in any Country, attracts criminals from everywhere, and that offers the local criminal-minded opportunities to learn new forms of crimes that they did not know before from the migrant criminals.
I may also like to add that the local criminals adopt more brazen tactics, especially from the fast spreading Digital sources that flow in from everywhere.
I did not mean to claim any superior piety to Ghanaians, who might just be learning how to commit crimes. Criminals have always resided among us. But it is their new, bold and more devious tactics that seem imported.
Up until this decade, Highway armed robbery was virtually absent from Ghana. However, folks had gone through worse Economic times before now. So, it is not just because the Youth may be in the worst economic times ever that they are being at their most violent in crimes.
And just so you know, I did not have any particular country in mind where the Ghanaian criminals may be importing their new tactics or some migrant criminals may be coming from. I envisage that any such migrant criminals could come from everywhere. My perspective has more to draw from historical comparisons.
Long Live Ghana!!!

Stupid Ghana people, is a Nigerian involved in this 419 too. Ghanaians should keep on decieving themselves that they are saints. In the first place, how can a poor people like Ghanaians want to live the lives of Nigerians who are more resouceful than them, what you get is crime of this nature bcos every stupid Ghanaian wants to drive a car his whole family could hardly afford and yet Ghanaians claim crminality is resident in Nigerians and not Ghanaians. How foolish a people can be. Continue to live in self denial its your fellow Ghanaians who'll bare the brunt of your denials.

I bet if the Alhaji had sold the car for profit, he might never volunteer to pay taxes on any gains he would have made.
Meanwhile, he expects the Police to search for and retrieve his Vehicle for him, all at the expense of the Nation.
