The report put in the public domain demanded a public response.
And I think the response is refreshing in the sense that:
1. It did not deny the report.
2. It sought for further collaboration with he TNF the kill the mischief.
3. The plan to use CCTV cameras and the need to beef up security implies the authorities are aware of the lop holes.
However my worry is why they sat down for the report to come up before.
Also have they factored the cost implication. Why not thing about automation as is done in some places?

Get a private company or companies to monitor every toll booth with mandatory 24 hour CCTV footage showing every purchase of a ticket by a vehicle. The company will be paid based on an agreed commission charged on each toll ticket. The more tickets they sell, the more money they get paid, similar to the way payment of car duties are enforced.

O Lord I pray for Mother Ghana, that you reduce the number of FOOLISH VOTERS in 2016. Father the small number that will be left, wash their faces with sea sand so that they would be able to see the predicament they have put Ghana in through their foolish action, and change for the better. I pray that you let them vote this USELESS and CLUELESS GOVERNMENT out. Let those who these FOOLISH VOTERS envy because they are prospering as a result of which they vote foolishly so that they will be equal with them prosper even more. Father let those who are sympathetic to these USELESS VOTERS stop giving them money when they come begging, so that they will realize 'Ghana is hard', and vote wisely this time round. Lord, there are too many office to office beggars in Ghana, that is a sign of poverty, kick those who encourage this out of office. Merciful Father, too many FOOLISH VOTERS who have no sense of dignity are rewarded with trips to soccer matches only to go and sleep on the floor in foreign land, and eventually seek asylum, stamp that disgraceful spirit out of Ghana. Lord, you have blessed us with everything that can make us rich, but you seemed to have forgotten to protect mother Ghana from greedy politicians and thieves; we call on you to rise and let these nation wreakers scatter in 2016. Amen

I've always believed that people we place in high authorities lack basic knowledge in what it takes to lead. Over reliance on academic credentials , favoritisms , long service ( which is nothing but just been employed earlier than others at a certain ministry etc) have clouded out our sense of objectivity . GHA should have taken time to conduct their own investigation on the private to ascertain the veracity or otherwise of the Report before inviting the Group. Again as usual, lazy officers are at it again. These are people paid do to no mental work except to walk around the corridors of power and influence, throw their weights about etc. it's a shame! Before inviting the Group, carry out your own investigation so that you have a basis to compare or contradict what the reports contains ! Sloppy , lazy , out of touch educated good for -------- heads!!

Education is very good but most people in life thought Wisdom is in the classroom! No no no a thousand times no, Wisdom to run the affairs of life the govern is from nowhere but from God. The school system of this world only help you to learn how to exercise your mind/brain. But the real stuff called wisdom is from the almighty God.

You get to the airport and there is little information to the public about drop-off zones, especially to taxi drivers. I witnessed a situation where a taxi dropped a passenger off at the domestic flight area and was moving away in less than a 10 seconds since the gentleman was travelling light and so had only his carry-on luggage with him. The traffic guys arrested the driver and pleas from the driver, the passenger and all of us present there and then, including staff from the domestic airlines could not stop them. I took interest in the case and followed up to their yard "where arrested vehicles are parked". For that infraction they were demanding GHC100.00 from the taxi driver or he would be given a ticket to go and pay GHC200.00 before the car could be released. Obviously the driver wanted to pay the GHC100.00 which will not be receipted anyway. Even if he paid the GHC200.00 would he know if the receipt he'll get would be genuine? There is therefore the need to stop this broad day light robbery. There were up to 20 vehicles at the time therein and if they managed to squeeze GHC100 out of each of them then they would have gotten up to GHC2,000 in a spate of about 30 minutes alone. So I think the airport authorities should give more education to the travelling public and taxi drivers to save them from these unscrupulous traffic guys. The stealing is too much.

The state will continue to loss revenue as long as we use human beings in collecting money. Some drivers do not bother in collecting the receipts after payment. Only God knows what happens to such money paid. I witnessed one on Saturday, 25th October at about 4:30 pm when returning from Nkawkaw at the toll collection near Accra. The driver of the saloon car paid the toll but failed to collect the receipt. As soon as he drove off the lady at the collection point gave me the ticket. I challenged her why she should give me the ticket meant for the other driver and my reward was insults. I have witnessed such situations on countless occasions where drivers paid and never collected the tickets. Let us use appropriate technology and Ghana will be better off. Thank you.
