Do you know that nations blessed with natural resources have less wealth than those less? This is to be blamed on bad governance and weak institutions.
This is what needs to happened in ghana for things to change.
Consult Martin Skankar of Norway, a fund manager.
A percentage of all revenues from oil, gold, cocoa etc MUST be deposited into a ghana sovereign fund and invested all over the world by the best investment brains. This money will not be touched by any government, ever! Infact, the revenues accrued from this investment will be used to fund pension, healthcare, education, infrastructural projects, roads etc in Ghana.
DON'T Invest in: What companies produce and how they are produced e.g don't invest in nuclear/chemical weapons, tobacco, companies like walmart(humanitarian clauses)
Norway has pretty much built their economy from the oil they have. Their sovereign fund is the largest national 401k in the world!
"Bad Aid" by Dambisa Moyo
thats the only reason behind these loans from imf. the Ghana govt artificially create the monetary and economic conditions in Ghana that we need the loans. They dilute the numbers. they dont care about the future repercussions or interest rate to ghana. once the multinational loans are issued, they jump.for joy like daycare kiddies, aben wo ha, our day niggas! some.sod cuts for show and presumed contracts are signed but the jobs will never see the light of day!
Corruption, Mismanagement and public sector inertia, redtape is the cause for all this mess and imf fuckers! We have no one to blame but us and no one will ditch us out. If your own family won't ditch you out of a grave. What do you expect from imf? Until we can find a solution to those issues listed. These corrupt politicians who steal don't even reinvest their stolen monies back in ghana. That's why ghana is suffering! Who are you waiting for to bring money into ghana? Remittances from "burgers" or imf dollars? Like my Oldman always use to say "you have a llooonnngggg way to.go"! Believe nothing you hear and 1/2 of what you see!!!

Does Mr. Pratt has the technology to drill, mine, or the capital to operate an airline?
Why does he want to live in a global village and yet, hold on to his corner or play isolationism?
If you can't take the heat in the kitchen or stand the market competition, why should he take it on the foreigners?
Let the buyers vote with their money, whilst the government engender a more conducive environment for businesses to thrive i.e. through the provision of adequate infrastructure: decent water supply, abundant energy supply, and plethora of dual-carriage highways to bring the cost of doing business down.
Why doesn't Mr. Pratt address how we can invigorate our decimated institutions?
With the greatest of respect, somebody should tell Kwesi Pratt that silence is at times golden, haba!
Waooh!!!! Is this true or just a gig for the laughs? What about Ablakwa, Bature, Yamin and the many flat footed Mandingos prying around the Flagstaff House?

The Ministry of Roads and highways must ensure that the Accra DVLA office updates and supplies the approved right highway code books and a properly trained head who would not only behave with decorum but address all VIPs and VVIPs with the title Sir.
All DVLA officers must put on name tags so that a report can be made when necessary.
The driver licensing process must be streamlined and more offices need to be opened.

Yes, even the national football team must be coached by a foreigner before we can have a comfortable sleep.
What are parliamentarians doing by way of oversight. They are promised kickbacks or gains for their parties in everything they do and that's enough for them to look the other way while the country is financially plundered by foreigners. The Speaker is swell- headed with his position and title; the other parliamentarians seek to consolidate their political ambition by going to school because they have noticed that it's PhDs that will engender them upward political movement and a better chance to steal. All one has to do is to knock at the President door with his PhD and he will make him a "minister of finance" - a position to better rip the country apart. Consequently, Ghana has oil by name only. Nobody supervises the income from it. Nobody is concerned or fights on behalf of Ghana. If one manages to expose a corrupt individual, the government will set up a committee as a way of distracting our attention. For the criminal will always be free no matter what.
Suffering Ghana!

Dear Kwesi, we are living in a global world, who owns something doesn't count anymore. who "enjoys" it is more important. If western economies would think like you than the UK, France, Germany, Holland and others would be in big trouble. Get used to it, foreigners live and work here just like Ghanaian s live and work in the earlier mentioned countries.
I was born abroad, live work pay my taxes, have my house my only bank accounts wife and children in Ghana and do my best to be part of the development of Ghana, the country of my choice. Am I a threat to you and other Ghanaian's ?

DO WE REALLY HAVE ELITE IN THE MIDST UNDERDEVELOPMENT AND EXTREME POVERTY IN GHANA:
CHEATING AND STEALING FOR A LIVING DO NOT MAKE PEOPLE ELITE IN THE COUNTRY.
WE HAVE STILL NOT BEEN PRODUCTIVE BECAUSE THE SO CALLED EDUCATED IN GHANA DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY IN TECHNOLOGY AS A DRIVE TO SCIENTIFIC INNOVATION AND CREATIVE THOUGHTS TO CREATE DYNAMIC INDUSTRIES AND TO STIMULATE ECONOMIC GROWTH, EMPLOYMENT, INCOME AND QUALITY OF LIFE.
THEREFORE, GHANAIANS ONLY LOK TO THE GOVERNMENT TO CATER FOR THEIR LIFSTYLES, HONEYMOON, MERRY-MAKING AND HIGHLIFE.
THIS TYPE OF THINKING IS TOTALLY WRONG OR A NATION TO MEET ITS ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL CHALLENGES AND DIFFICULTiES.
