Most people wouldn't have any concern if he was debating the number two on the ticket, but can Nana dismisses this guy with snappy retorts or zingers to his auto-pilot governance answers?
Just asking....

NDC members are Ghanaians, some are even better and highly educated than Nana Addo himself. You saw what happened in the Supreme Court, their lawyers were better trained than that of NPP.The fact of the matter is that it will not be easy for Nana Addo to beat John Mahama come 2016.Moreso,it will not be easy for NPP to beat NDC in parliament because NPP is using the same old ineffective campaign strategy which only gives them authority in 2 regions.I am afraid it will be technically impossible for Nana Addo to win the presidency to occupy the seat in the Flagstaff House.Thank you.

My fellow, OKATAKYIE SARPONG, thanks for stressing the importance of party unity, which is crucially important if NPP has any chance of defeating NDC at the next general election. Very much so, leadership election is not necessarily about leadership candidates. It is also about the interest of the party. No doubt, Nana Akufo-Addo won the NPP leadership election, because he's very popular with the grassroots, who recognise and appreciate his contribution to the party, and his leadership credentials. On the other hand, Nana Akufo-Addo has to convince the voters of Ghana to entrust him with the leadership of their nation.
The willingness of Mr Alan Kyerematen and Mr Francis Addai-Nimoh to work with, and campaign for Nana Akufo-Addo indicate the common purpose of NPP. The party's leadership contest is over and there should be no time for "factional triumphalism". But I believe Nana Akufo-Addo has to demand, ensure and maintain loyalty to the party from all factions within the party. Worringly, the post-election 'silliness' of Ohene Ntow, from Alan's camp and Sir John, from Nana's camp are unhelpful though. If Nana Akufo-Addo fails to manage and discipline the "lunatic fringe" of the party, then NPP will lose the election.

LONTO-BOY, I agree with you that unless Nana Akufo-Addo controls Sir John, Kennedy Ayapong, Kofi Juma and others, they could ruin his chances. That is a suggestion I made in an article I sent to Ghanaweb on Sunday afternoon and only became aware this morning that it was posted that very day so not many people read it. I expected it yesterday but did not see it so when it did not appear today I searched for it and realised that it was posted the same day, which is unusual.
By my analysis in that article Nana Akufo-Addo has a good chance of winning but a lot depends not only on unity but his ability to managed his campaign team. If he allows people like Kennedy Agyapong to be close to him and continues with his dangerous and irresponsible utterances without condemning him and distancing himself from his words, then independent voters could be turned off. Sir John has already started by. As I was drafting the article on Sunday afternoon, I saw a caption attributed to him that he will organise losers' party for Alan and this morning he is reported to have suggested that Alan should be charged for causing financial loss to NPP by contesting the primaries.
These are not good signs of forming a unified campaign team. Such 'jokes' could even turn Alan's team off. What Nana Akufo-Addo must do is to publicly call Sir John to order.
SARPONG, you are right that the journey to Jubilee House has began but it is not accurate that Nana or NPP is half way through. The journey actually just started. For me, half way through would be somewhere in December 2015.
Again, NPP should be very careful of false and wrong analysis by some Ghanaian academics. For example, it was reported that the head of Political Science Department of KNUST claims if NPP does not win the 2016 elections (I supposed he was referring to the presidential election), then, it should dissolve itself as a party). Such unscientific and baseless statements could give NPP the wrong impression that 2016 is already in the bag, when in reality the election is over two years away. Two years is a very long time and anything could happen. The economy could improve or get worse, so is dumsor, corruption, etc. So any academic who will make such a statement based on current situation should not be taken serious. As at now NPP's greatest threat to 2016 victory is complacency.

sarpong you are doing well as a party member to raise family morals high but the elders, delegates and the leaders of the NPP are going to pay dearly for this exodus mistake.
it could have been so easy to capture power from NDC if new face was brought for new campagin strategy and message , which the leaders of the party had chosen the difficult path.
such a mistake if JDM found his lost feet and turns things around by able to make the prices in the country decrease within the period before our next general election NPP is going to stay another 8years in opposition.
the trueth of the situation is that -jdm good works and initiatives would start menifesting 2015 > 2020 which would put NPP at that time in a very deficult situation to deal with because looking at the age of kuffu Addo there is no way win or loose 2016 can stand again in 2020 that means new face will emerge for marketing.
that was why few was of the opinion of positioning the party in a better position should the 2016 election go infavour of the incumbent.
I will advice you to hold your energy because the leaders of the party had burry the fortunes of the party for another 8years.

Nana Addo can never beat Mahama so there is no need for some of us to waste our time and energy on a dead horse when we have vibrant and youthful people like Alan and Bawumia who can easily beat Ndc but rather decided on a tried, tested and rejected old man.
They started it and no one said a word so we have to continue it:

Have the courage to accept that, Nana has failed the party by loosing two easy election and still hanging on the party neck like a parasite.
Instead of him to apologise for taking us from government to oposition and grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory, not ones but twice, he still want to go third time against what he himself said at the Sunyani congress in 1997.
He is a failure and will fail again 2016. My only hope is that, after 2016 you sycophants and Nana worshippers will not blame Alan, Otumfoo, Kufour, Afari-Djan, Justice Atuguba and etc.
