E.T Mensah is known to have used his position to warn a lot of players not play for Kotoko.
He warned the late Shamo Quaye before he went to Denmark that if he ever played for Kotoko, he E.T, will see to it that Shamo will never play for the Black Stars. Many of these players will never reveal E.T's warnings because of his power in the ruling P/NDC.
It got to a point that every good player had to play for Hearts in order to get the chance to play for the Black Stars. And that is why we never progressed to any international tournaments during E.T's time as Sports Minister.
E. T. Mensah was the selector of athletes to the 2000 Sydney, Australia Olympic Games and look at how we flopped.

The revelation by Charles Taylor is not surprising to me at all and I don't doubt whatever he said cos this was a minister who was so powerful that he could even enter the dressing room and dictate to the coach to field his favorite players. In fact this is the level of hatred that some people have for Asantes and anything associated with them. No wonder referees were always favoring hearts of oak during his time as sports minister.

You went to Tunisia, that did not go well for you either. Back to Hearts with an injury and sent to South Africa for medical care. Then to Enugu rangers and to the local league once again.
