The last few weeks ohene ntow and co have resorted to trying to unsettle their delegates by being alarmists.

Alan is not known in hamlets, nooks and crannies of the Ghanaian landscape.

In the 4th republic, it has taken a MINIMUM of more than 4 YEARS of visiting GHANAIANS EVERYWHERE (not just party delegates across Ghana)to stand a chance of winning the presidency. 2 YEARS HAS NEVER BEEN ENOUGH FOR ANY CANDIDATE !!! Even if we take the candidates with the support of the 2 biggest parties, this is how the record read. Rawlings had done that engagement for over 10 years before 1992. 2 years was not enough for Adu Boahen. 2 years was not enough for Kuffour. 2 years was not enough for Atta Mills. Mahama campaigned for almost a year with Mills in 2008 and Mills' win in 2008 (after visiting Ghanaians everywhere on several occasions since 2000)gave mahama the platform as vice-president to continue such nationwide engagement with all ghanaians (not just party delegates) especially as mills wasnt well and delegated a lot to him for over 3 and half years in addition to the 1 year in 2008 when he was by the side of Mills as running mate. So in all, Mahama had had a total of over 4 and half years of such engagements with all Ghanaians (with over 3 and half years of that time being on national TV almost on a daily basis as vice president). If you add the time when he replaced Mills as president with increased profile on TV, everything comes to about 5 years of such engagement with all ghanaians (and staying extremely visible in the consciousness of all ghanaians) before the voting day in 2012. THE RECORDS SHOW THAT EVEN 3 YEARS NATIONAL EXPOSURE IN THE CONTEXT OF OUR NATIONAL POLITICS HAS NEVER BEEN ENOUGH FOR ANYBODY, LET ALONE 2 YEARS. Within the NPP, Akufo Addo is the only person with that NATIONWIDE VISIBILITY THAT IS ETCHED IN THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF GHANAIANS INCLUDING THOSE IN VARIOUS HAMLETS. IT IS SOMETHING THAT IS BUILT OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. Apart from Akufo AddO, the only one in NPP who has anything close to the number of years of nationwide visibility needed to win the presidency in Ghana at the moment is Bawumia. Bawumia has about 3 years of that. The NPP leaders know that, and that is why they are pushing for Akufo Addo again. He represents any chance that the NPP might have of winning 2016. 2 years has never been enough for anybody to build that sort of thing in ghana's 4th republic. If they vote for absentee Alan, they have effectively ruled themselves out of any chance of winning the presidency in 2016.

As the record clears shows above, if they select Alan, it means they can't win 2016 but are preparing to give themselves A CHANCE of winning the presidency in 2020 and even a better chance in 2024, because from 2016 to 2020, Alan would have had 4 years of building this national 'resonance'. And from 2016 to 2024, alan would have done that for 8 years. so he would have a better chance. But as far as 2016 is concerned, 'adabraka' !!! The record shows that 2 years has never been enough for anybody to have that NATIONWIDE 'RESONANCE' REQUIRED TO WIN THE PRESIDENCY IN GHANA.
