  Rape cases are on the increase in Ghana. Judges and WAJU of the Ghana police force must do more to protect our society. Some people have become so notorious of raping and getting away with it. Many believe that it is a weapon capable of scarring individuals to the very soul and seize the least opportunity to use it; using it on the families of their political or business competitors. Not even those at the higher echelons of our society must get away with it. It is said that a man paid a student to rape the daughter of his business and political competitor. The rapist got away with it.
  
  The number of court houses and judges in Ghana are inadequate especially in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The population has ballooned and changes have to be made. The same can be said of the number of police officers and the number of penitentiaries. On a visit to a number of court houses around the country I found the Ghana flag and the Ghana Coat of Arms (Seal) absent. This must change.

Is Ghana police service serious about performing their duties for crime and arrest instead of building social services around them.President Mahama has really disappointed some NDC gurus like me.He should be impeached by parliament.He does not deserve to be a presidnet. Ghana has police hospital now a. bank.Shame shame president Mahama

  With whose money is the Police going to fund the Bank? This is just a very bad idea. The Police must be prevented from being a Commercial entity. It has long maintained a difficult-to-defend reputation, and the last thing it must consider is going into any form of Business.
  
  If it were doing a good enough job, the Police Force would always receive Public support for more befitting benefits during and after Service.
  
  The ghost of incorrigible Corruption still closely habits around the Force to warrant any such venture. The Parliament must strongly oppose and ensure no Government Funds go into this ill-conceived project.
  
  I do not even think our Constitution allows such a venture by a Public Institution of the Police type. Our leaders must discourage us from these insane Fascist goals.
  
  Long Live Ghana!!!

  I believe that the Police Administration has a right to desire anything it wants but certainly if it has the desire to establish a bank, its seed funds should not be from public funds. They could use the welfare funds of its ...

  I believe that the Police Administration has a right to desire anything it wants but certainly if it has the desire to establish a bank, its seed funds should not be from public funds. They could use the welfare funds of its servicemen to start and must necessarily meet the Bank of Ghana capital requirements, unless they are going to operate as a savings and loan company or rural bank.

  It is laudable that the IGP has the foresight to establish a bank solely for the police. What the police needs is a credit union. I don't know if there are credit unions in Ghana. A credit union is a member-owned financial institution, democratically controlled by its members and operated for the purpose of promoting thrift, providing credit at competitive rates and providing other financial services to its members. Credit unions differ from banks and other financial institutions in that those who have accounts in the credit union are its members and owners. Membership in the credit union could even be extended to those involved in other sectors of law enforcement.

  Privatize the transportation of retirees .
  Open it to competition open tender for a period of 4 years at a time to avoid monopoly. Every region should have one contractor to transport retirees.
