The proposals put forward by IEA for constitutional reforms are the best possible ways of strengthening our democracy. Anybody criticizing or unwilling to accept them must have some myopic and self-serving agendas that are not in the interest of Ghana and its development. Our week institutions can easily produce "constitutional dictatorship" difficult to get rid of.
Those who have genuine alternative ideas and views regarding the issues raised should come out clean and tell us what they have, and not hide behind to sabotage their adoption. These proposals in our view would reduce partisan politics and also strengthen democracy and the rule of law in our country. On the other hand, if we dare reject them or drag our feet, we will continue to grope in darkness with disastrous consequences.

I sincerely believe that Mr. Stephen Amoah has gone too far in his prediction that there would be suicide bombings if Mahama wins the next elections. It is the right of any opposition member to point out the failings and excess of the government in power, and use them to convince electorates not to vote for the incumbent in the next elections.
That is genuine politics and your constitutional right, but you cannot say that there would be suicide bombings if Ghanaians ignore your warnings and still vote for him despite the hunger and the hardship they are experiencing under his government. The next thing Mr. Stephen needs to do, if he believes the incumbent could wrongfully use his position to influence the outcome of the elections, is to make sure that the elections are free and fair. And that is why the IEA constitutional reform proposals are very important.

NPP the Ashanti/Akyem party has nothing good for Ghanaians.
NPP is a self seeking tribal political party.
They are now shading with these ignorant northerners like Bawumia and Afoko. I'm very sorry for them. Look back and see how they finished with Aliu Mahama and take a lesson from that angle.

- this pretentious Akim Akufo Ado knows to himself, that he is nobody without Ashantis; and
- as this bluffer Akim Akim Akufo Ado of the weak Akim tribe annoys other powerful tribes, wise Paul Afoko and other serious thinking members of the NPP have come to realise, that their NPP wouldn't win any general elections with him; that, it is about time to dump him

From then, Nana will become the substabtive leader of our great party. You and you ilk or evil cabal can go and burn the sea because you be relegated to the dustbin of history.
