The man was a respectable, God fearing leader that had a complete program for all aspects our national development.

Unfortunately, the communists Young Pioneers implanted by Nkrumah in our mist, did not allow Ghanaians to benefit from his knowledge and the good work he had started for the sake of this country and its people. They hijacked and impeded our development until the year 2000.

Although Acheampong was one of the communists, and also did their dirty work for them, they have been trying in vain to disown him. He was killed by another communist when he seized power and unleashed a Cuban-style communist dictatorship on Ghanaians. The sad news that,apart from dictatorship, communists don't have what it takes to grow an economy.

John Mahama does not fit to be a President. Ghana says it is planning to export thousands of megawatts of electricity to Nigeria, Ivory Coast and other neighbouring countries that have power deficit.

The Ghanaian President, Mr. John Mahama, who made the disclosure at the Africa Global Business and Economic Forum in Dubai on Wednesday, said his government had made huge investments in power generation that would enable the country to export excess electricity to Nigeria and others.

“We have given priority to electricity generation in our country. We have prioritised energy in such a way that we want to become the hub for power production in West Africa. We want to generate electricity to the point that excess power can be exported to Nigeria, Ivory Coast and other countries that have power deficit,” he said.

To achieve this dream, Mahama said his country had secured export-import financing from China as well as special funds from Abu Dhabi to commence series of power generation projects, adding that a third hydropower dam project was already at an advanced stage.

The Ghanaian leader spoke in a panel discussion along with President Paul Kagame of Rwanda and President Mulatu Wirtu of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

Mahama added, “Where Africa faces some of its challenges lies its biggest opportunities. We are leveraging on public-private sector partnership to build infrastructure. Be it roads, electricity, ports or communication systems; if we create the right environment, investors will come.

“Creating the right environment that will attract foreign direct investment is key.”

In achieving this, the Ghanaian leader joined Kagame and Wirtu to emphasise the need for African governments to strengthen anti-corruption agencies in their various countries.

“Issues of accountability and transparency are very important. There must be mechanism to fight corruption. We all have institutions but the major thing is resourcing them to effectively fight corruption and perform effectively,” he noted.

According to Kagame, African governments must create a system that is not sympathetic to corruption, saying this would help drive the required Foreign Direct Investment into the continent.

He said, “It is one thing to have the institutions; it is another thing to allow them to work. Governance and structure must be in place to make them to work,” he said.

“African governments must fix infrastructure, investment in development of education and skills, and also enhance connectivity among African countries.”

I strongly suspect that Mahama is a schizophren - suffering from a mental state that makes him feel that Ghana has everything - enough to supply power to Nigeria, that is 5 times bigger in size and population and the 7th oil producer in the whole world!

So what is the third hydropower project already at an advanced stage that the President is talking about? Who are those advicing the President? Does the President know what is even going on in the country? Ghana has Akosombo, Kpong and Bui dams, and all have been completed, so what is the President talking about here?
Truly speaking the Mahama NDC gov't needs to get serious. This is becoming embarrassing. It is embarrassing. What kind of recklessness is this? What kind of propaganda is this, and at that level? It is an embarrassment. You see Governance is very serious business, very, very serious business. What at all is this? Ghana needs to get serious because governance has been reduced to jokes under this Mahama NDC gov't and it's embarrassing.

Leave the president alone. He is demonstrating a leadership style that we Ghanaians have never seen before. He is believing to receive all the good things God has already given to us a nation. Because of his deep believe, we are all going to witness a huge developmental transformation under his watch. All we need to do as citizens, is to learn to believe positively with the president, and Ghana will definitely will become the envy of Africa again soon. If you sit back and watch carefully, he is implementing so many projects and programs all at once that will turn our country around for the better. Just stop the criticism and follow his leadership so we can all achieve success together. Nigeria may be a Goliath, but Ghana can be David. It will therefore not be surprised that Ghana provides electricity to her Neighbors including Nigeria and Cote D'Ivoire.
