If one were to delve into our Economic malaise, it would have to be put at the doorstep of Dictator Kwame Nkrumah and Murderer Rawlings personal and NDC Governments.

It has been so unfortunate for some irresponsible, Academic, Illiterates and Semi-Illiterates, The Military and the General Propagandists who don't understand or think Governments are run on the backstretch of Parliament or Cabinet based on the Constitution of the Country.

There are very many people in our society today, who may NOT realise that our official Economy, the moment it was transformed or transpired from Gold Coast to Ghana was firstly sabotaged by Dictator Kwame Nkrumah, followed by Murderer Rawlings and his respective NDC NATION WRECKERS.

Unfortunately, we today have very many people who were Manufactured by the Dictator and his Kankan Nyame Doctrine.

These are the people who are making the innocent and the ill-informed Ghanaian to look responsible for the unfortunate of our Social and Economic penury.

I listened to Kwame Nkrumah's Dawn Broadcast of 1963 when he declared the Positive Action Day on the public Radio.

It is what Murderer Rawlings translated into "Positive Defiance Moment" which turned our respective YOUTHS into DEFIANTS, which is what we are all witnessing today.

Dictator Kwame Nkrumah thought establishing the Preventive Detention Act. which was written by AYIGBE K.A.GBEDEMAH, who (according to the Dictator himself) had fled Ghana with our (TWELVE MILLION POUNDS STERLING).

That aside, the Dictator was told by many experts that for our Economy to sustain the pressures at the time, the main Export of the Economy, being the COCOA needed to be appraised.

This was for the special reason that, both the Cocoa Farmers were getting OLD: as well as the COCOA TREE THEMSELVES. Therefore research had proven that more should be done to encourage the YOUTHS to go back INTO the FARM WITH THE NECESSARY INDUCEMENTS; otherwise countries, such as Ivory Coast would overtake our Economy.

The DICTATOR wouldn't like to listen or hear anything of this nature; in the same way he told the late Egyptian President Abdul Nasser that he had wrapped all Ghanaians in his Handkerchief.

The Dictator failed from the very onset that his fake ego of transforming the whole of Africa to become his ambit of United States of Africa was unrealistic is what his children and those he "manufactured: today still fail to realise and understand.

The Dictator was calling the Colonial Masters as DEVILS!!! But WYY??? You wanted Independence for your people and you have acquired it; and why all the insults on the Colonialists??

He was so STUPID and SEX HAPPY to realise that he was actually dragging Ghana into abyss. After, the Doyen of African Politics, Dr. J.B.Danquah and many of his opponents were either incarcerated or had been forced into exile.

Simply because we opposed to his Dictatorship at Home and Expansion Abroad, most of our Opposition Group were killed by his Agents abroad, thus making him a HOME GROWN TERRORIST.

The vast Economic Reserve that were left by the Colonialists, of course were used in part for the Nation's Developmental Agenda, which were orchestrated by people such as our former Finance Minister J.H.Mensah-ala the Seven Year Development Plan.

Dictator Nkrumah used too much of our resources outside Ghana for his quench to become President of Africa.

Someone here is asking for the definition of Environmentally Sustainable Economy. Simply put, if DULLARD MAHAMA had been astute to follow the steps of our Budget Supported Countries and adjusted accordingly instead of this massive CORRUPTION, we wouldn't have been in this sort of a mess, as being put into the Receivership of the IMF.

Now the same CPP of Nkrumah's Idealogues penetrated into Murderer Rawlings Regimes up to this present NDC hell bent into fulfilling the Dictator's Communistic Traits.

I must say I had once been a Communist Sympathiser for supporting APARTHEID because it was the only way we could get ARMS FROM THEM TO FIGHT APARTHEID.

So the simple Economic Traits or Development is to follow the Path of your Trading Partner/S being the only way to get sympathy and lessons of supports.

Given this direction, you would be put in a position to know exactly where to make an adjustment when your Trading Partners are also facing difficulties.

This is what Environmentally Sustainable Economy is all about.

To ignore the economic achievements of Nkrumah is to declare yourself intellectually bankrupt. If you only remember the economic downturn during Nkrumah 's reign, then may I suggest you research all the western economies in the last 100 years and you will find every 7 years or so there will be a recession which will cause hardship for 3 or 4 years before things stabilise again.
I don't have the time to disect every word of yours but laugh at your suggestion that government should encourage more people into agric. Most developed countries have less than 10% of their working population in agriculture. We have over 50% contributing less than 40% of gdp. The solution is reducing the number as clearly the non agricultural sector has a higher yield per person. We have to create new ways of farming to increase the productivity. Just throwing more human resources to it is something which will be suggested by rawlings, not Nkrumah. You have more in common with rawlings than you are aware of. Empty sound bites. Nkrumah is the greatest African, don't disgrace yourself by pretending you are not clever enough to understand that

The heading of this article is unfair to Pastor Mensah Otabil because he did not use the word "gloating" as seen in the header. Gloating is a malicious excitement over something. For example if something bad has happened to someone and that makes you so excited and happy, you are gloating. If the cedi is recovering and someone rejoices over it, that can’t be gloating because this is no bad news for any Ghanaian.
However Pastor Mensah Otabil is judging Ghanaians as if Ghanaians are his students of Theology where he is the professor. On the contrary, Ghanaians are simple, ordinary persons who don't have to consult any authoritative references before admitting what they consider good or bad.
Yesterday when the cedi was in a free fall, they knew it was bad so they prayed against it. If today the cedi is rising, they have every right to be happy and thank God for answering them. This is simple faith not weak or advanced or complicated faith as the pastor wishes for Ghanaians. The Bible professes simple faith and nothing complicated. When Hannah did not have a child, she prayed and prayed for God to give her a child and when the child came, she was happy and gave back the child to God for the child to be raised as a priest. It was the same with Abraham who is described in the bible as the father of faith. When God promised to bless him so that the whole world would be blessed through him, he asked God how could this happen since he did not have a child. In other words, his childlessness would not amuse him. It was then that God revealed to him that his wife would bear him a son and later this came to pass.
Praying to God to do something for you; and rejoicing when God gives you what you prayed for, are all faith in God. This is simple faith and not weak faith.

A businessman in Takoradi was in a great deal of trouble. His business was failing, he had put everything he had into the business, he owed everybody it was so bad he was even contemplating suicide. As a last resort he went to a pastor and poured out his story of tears and woe.

When he had finished, the pastor said, "Here's what I want you to do, put a beach chair and your Bible in your car and drive down to the beach. Take the beach chair and the Bible to the water's edge, sit down in the beach chair, and put the Bible in your lap. Open the Bible; the wind will rifle the pages, but finally the open Bible will come to rest on a page. Look down at the page and read the first thing you see. That will be your answer, that will tell you what to do."

A year later the businessman went back to the pastor and brought his wife and children with him. The man was in a new custom- tailored suit, his wife in a mink coat, the children shining. The businessman pulled an envelope stuffed with money out of his pocket and gave it to the pastor as a donation in thanks for his advice.

The pastor recognized the benefactor, and was curious. "You did as I suggested?" he asked.

"Absolutely," replied the businessman.

"You went to the beach?"

"Absolutely."
"You sat in a beach chair with the Bible in your lap?"

"Absolutely."

"You let the pages rifle until they stopped?"

"Absolutely."

"And what were the first words you saw?"

A nun who works for a local home health care agency was out making her rounds when she ran out of gas. As luck would have it there was a station just down the street. She walked to the station to borrow a can with enough gas to start the car and drive to the station for a fill up.

The attendant regretfully told her that the only can he owned had just been loaned out, but if she would care to wait he was sure it would be back shortly.

Since the nun was on the way to see a patient she decided not to wait and walked back to her car. After looking through her car for something to carry to the station to fill with gas, she spotted a bedpan she was taking to the patient. Always resourceful, she carried it to the station, filled it with gasoline, and carried it back to her car.

As she was pouring the gas into the tank of her car two men walked by. One of them turned to the other and said: "Now that is what I call faith!"

Isn't it this same Mensah Otabil who when the Cedi was doing poorly was attributing that to bad policies and mismanagement -- and he even went as far as 'declaring' that the Cedi would fall as low as 10 Cedis to a Dollar! Today, the Cedi is rising so strongly and has reached 3.1 Cedis to a Dollar, and this same man is attributing this rise to an issue of having faith built on the word of God!

When the Cedi was falling in value, that's because of bad policies of the ruling government! But when the same Cedi is rising in value, that's the work of having faith in the word of God, not because of good policies of the same ruling government! It's only when hypocrites mount the pulpit that these kinds of irrationality and illogic make religious sense to them and their congregation! The act of hiding on the pulpit and spewing political interests in the guise of religious sermons will only expose itself as an act of shamelessness!
