Hur, Fired or Stepped down?
We are waiting for a foreigner to come and orchestrate how to install discipline & how to play soccer at international level.
When are we going to be CAPABLE TO MANAGE OUR WON AFFIRS. Africans always wants easy way out and afraid of trials and failures.
Do we need expatriate to represent us at our embassies out side the country?
Just food for thought.

We should go for Konadu and Appiah and let them get the necessary training they need to become successful. We cannot afford a Serbian unemployed Coach demanding $70,000 a month and other benefits.

HAD IT NOT BEEN THE DISTRACTION CAUSED BY THE LOVE OF MONEY MORE THAN THE RESPECT, THE FIGHT AGAINST RACISM, THE JOY WINNING BRINGS TO THE WHOLE NATION, ETC WE WOULD HAVE DONE BETTER. NOW THEIR GOAL IS TO GET A WHITE COACH BUT IT IS JUST THE BEGINNING OF THE END FOR THIS ADMINISTRATION. WE HAVE GIVEN THEM A LONG ROPE AND THEY WOULD TIE THEMSELVES WITH IT.

It looks like the Black Stars are hot properties despite their dismal showing in Brazil hence so much interest in the vacant position of head coach. Unfortunately it seems most of the applicants appear to have little or no knowledge or experience of African football. But I believe one of the key criteria for the selection panel is the coach who knows much about African football and indeed who knows much about Ghana's style of football; the players; their psyche as well as their strengths and weaknesses. We must ensure we appoint the right one this time round.

... And Honourable Ken, upon all those applicants hovering around our shores, who knew more of our soccer psyche and style of play than Sillas Tetteh, Konadu and the rest?
$70,000 plus additional interpreter cost is something we should think of. White man is not the solution to our problems. We are the causes of our problem and we are the sole solution to our problems.

Bro. Kojo your assertion naturally leads to the question? "Why didn't they apply"? For me I want the person who can put Ghana football back to where we belong - Africa's top team in 2 consecutive World Cups - whoever that person may be. Let me cite you an anecdote propounded by the late Chinese Premier, Deng Shaw Ping. When China began embracing Capitalist ideas to it's Communist ideology as part of its economic development he was asked why China was adopting capitalist systems. His answer was simple: "IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE CAT WAS WHITE OR BLACK; AS LONG AS IT CATCHES MICE". I am a firm believer in this Kojo. It is sometimes unhelpful to hold dogmatic beliefs just for dogma sake. It can be a slippery slope to the darkness.

Dr Rasheed, I have been back for sometime now. I went on a self-imposed exile after our World Cup disaster and the refusal to learn from our mistakes. I believe Ghana football needs a new direction and I hope the appointment of a new coach with technical know-how and experience is the first step forward. I believe Ghana has s talented pool of players both young, local and foreign-based who a good coach can take higher onto the world stage. No wonder there is a long queue waiting to take charge.

Thank you prof.We are actually blessed with abundance of young and talented players, and we just need a very good coach who can handle these players very well and win cups for us.

But let me warn you now before you have the shock of your life, if you have been away for sometime now. Oh, you're now a "Honourable" too. Good show but I don't think this forum is the place for you, unfortunately. There are the likes of GhFuo (a crackhead) who are turning this forum into something else. They won't hesitate to state "..wo maame t**" if they disagree on an opinion. Sad, isn't it? We need brains like you to read from but the language here leaves much to be desired, Honourable. I'll definitely not recommend this forum for you unless you have a buckskin. I have one. Moreover, I'm not a Honourable. Congrats, anyway.

Patrick Kluivert is not an answer to Ghana's problems. This boy knows nothing about Ghana. He is not the least interested and I wonder if he can name even a single player within the Black Star squad.

What an exaggeration! Are you sure Kluivert can't name any player in the Black Stars team? Excuse me, but at least he will never ever forget Asamoah Gyan and the penalty he missed that didn't send us into the semifinals. Hold on, I've got one exaggeration for you too. I met someone from the Kalahari Desert who was so heartbroken that he said "Poor Asamoah Gyan". How about that? Muntari, Essien and others are heavyweight names who scared the hell out of world champs, Germany. Kluivert is cool, respected and experienced. He'll gain the respect of the players and the entire Ghanaian soccer fans, I believe. Let's give him a shot.

I would be happy if Kluivert is appointed the coach. The first reason is that he has the Black connection. Secondly, he would be dying for success as the basis to boost his profile.
