Please do not waste time and get the support of Human Rights NGOs in Ghana to petition the President.

You should include in your petition that by not going to work and receiving her salary for months she had breached the mandate of CHRAJ (to investigate corruption) and by her profligacy she has misappropriated public funds.

Again, by her actions and omissions she has violated Articles 136(3) and 221(a)of the 1992 Constitution, so she in not qualified or suitable for be CHRAJ Commissioner.

Article 136(3) states, “a person shall not be qualified for appointment as a Justice of the Court of Appeal unless s/he is of high moral character and proven integrity and is of not less than twelve years' standing as a lawyer.”

Article 221(a) also states, “a person shall not be qualified for appointment as a Commissioner or a Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights and Administrative Justice, unless s/he is - in the case of Commissioner, qualified for appointment as a Justice of the Court of Appeal.”

Folks, the CHRAJ boss is renting a hotel room..She has not stolen any money...Were she to go to a conference in Nigeria and stayed in a five star hotel, would have been a problem? Government officials at her level fly business class and stay in five star hotels. So there is nothing wrong with her staying in a five star hotel in Accra as her residence is being renovated. The $500 a night just happens to be the market rate. She does NOT set the market rate for a hotel in Accra. If a third world country like Ghana where the capital is 60 percent slum charges $500 a night for hotel, that is not her business. She is not the president. Leave her alone...All those calling for her removal are jealous underachievers!!!

It may be prudent to start by inquiring why is it taking so long to complete the renovation or rehabilitation? Which government agency is responsible to ensuring the construction is completed? Once you start getting answers to these question, you would understand the predicament that she is in...But do not accuse her and ask questions later....

If our noises are loud enough and reasonable enough, our executive which is vested with the power to act might act, as acting puts paid the issues and the matter and exposes the lies and the truth. Lauretta Lamptey's is a public office and, therefore, a matter of interest to us. That office or its holder serves a guardian of probity or our integrity watchdog, to all intents and purposes. So any issues of financial impropriety, be they alleged or real, should raise our hackles. The current allegations of extravagant conduct in her accommodation arrangement and her prolonged absence from work alongside her persistent failure to appear before our representatives in our parliament to answer questions arising from an annual audit conducted into the operations of her office are all a matter we must air our views on. What anyone is doing here - including even those saying Lauretta Lamptey should be tied to a stake and shot - really is calling for this matter to be interrogated. From the perception point of view, I personally find Ms Lamptey's position to be completely untenable and she ought to tender her resignation to the president.

The Prez can easily dispense of Afriyie Ankrah, that is no problem, but when it comes to the CHRAJ Boss the constitution makes it really tough. Everything here is greatly dependent on the Chief Justice, and we both know the CJ has no moral courage to recommend the removal of the CHRAJ boss because she(CJ) is even worse.

Please go back and read what the constitution says about the removal of the CHRAJ Boss. She is the equivalent of a superior court judge, precisely an Appeal Court judge, so the Prez can ONLY initiate the process by asking the CJ to investigate and make recommendations to him(Prez.)

Think about this, some school children study under trees in 2014. All government houses should be rented at the current/applicable rate. None of them deserve free accommodation. The place we go to beg for aid and funding doesn't do that. Why do we? It's not sustainable. We all know that.

I really support Mr. Caseley Hayford, the CHRAJ boss must be kicked out of office immediaely to save the tax payers money.

Mere removal of corrupt officials from office is not enough a derrent against corruption; additionally, those found to have engaged in corrupt acts in government must also be prosecuted.
