Why don't you address your concern to the the minister instead of the president.
Is this how issues get resolved in your new-found country, USA?
Please have respect for the president of Ghana!!

No, K. Appiah, you need to act matured and appreciate principled behaviour here. You know that the GES is currently beset with problems and academic standards have been seriously hit in the process. I will not say that pupil teachers are the main cause of the problem but as a former employee of the GES, I have good reason to believe that the GES appears to be unfit for purpose hence your views are in a way far- fetched.
You will realise that the GES would have advised the Minister of Education who in turn advised the President to take a particular line of crisis intervention. Likewise, Tony Mensah-Pobee would have noted that the results of examinations conducted by the WAEC shows that schools produced dismal and appalling results. They are letting otherwise hard working children and families down.
So, what's your beef and why lambast the President? If you spoke about the general economic situation in the country which could possibly have a knock-on effect on general incomes; and for that matter the moral of teachers, then I could be with you. In any case though, I do not think that pupil teachers should go anywhere near children. They are better off getting employment in private schools where the proprietors are more business-like and where much more emphasis is placed on prioritising resources.
