The decision to fire Akwesi Appiah was idiotic and you Rasheed has said that. If Akwesi Appiah goes the whole GFA has to go. We need new people with new ideas to take over. The problem is not Akwesi Appiah it the GFA.

The Ghana Mafia organizing football in the country, the FA, assigned spurious reasons why it terminated the coaching appointment of the Black Stars, James Kwesi Appiah. The untenable reason was that the coach publicly dissociated himself from the FA's quest to engage the services of a foreign coach as a technical director to assist him.
Indeed, the FA hinted the desire to provide a technical adviser for the coach sometime in January 2014, six months before the 2014 World Cup, but this move could not materialized for no apparent reason.
The qualifying series for AFCON 2015 has started in earnest, and Ghana drew the first home match against Uganda at the Baba Yara sports stadium, Kumasi, and won the second match against the Hawks of Togo, earning four points out of the maximum six points.
However, immediately after the Uganda match, the FA revived their earlier quest to attach a foreign coach as technical director to the Black Stars. Milo, who had all along been earmarked by the FA for that position was invited for talks in Accra. The FA negotiated for Milo to prepare to take over from Kwesi Appiah immediately after the Ghana/Togo match as the writing was on the wall that Appiah was going to lose the match.
Indications were that, Dede Ayew was privy to this diabolical plan to ditch kwasi Appiah should he lose the Togo match. His behaviour after his substitution attests to this fact, and throughout the match, he never played to the coach's instructions, and had to be substituted, paving the way for Ghana's third goal. Dede was more of player/coach on the field of play,and even after he was substituted. Ghana won alright, thanks for Atsu's solo effort.
Lo and behold, Appiah was fired two days after winning the Togo match. Meanwhile, the FA and the Black Stars management team that caused the downfall of the national team in Brazil are still at post, enjoying their financial gains from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
The FA and Milo were stupefied following the victory by the Black Stars in Lome, and Ghanians should evaluate the diabolical thinking of the FA before and after the match. The FA promise to Milo to be prepared to take over the Black stars coaching job was checkmated by the Lome victory, and in an attempt to cover up the corrupt dealings agreed with Milo, the FA came out with an advert for the vacant position of the Black Stars coaching job just to give the whole botched and cooked job to Milo a semblance of credibility.
This Mafia FA is just interested in throwing dust into the eyes of the good and loving soccer fans in this country. If getting a technical director for the coach was so important, why was that move not consummated before going to Brazil? Why the mad rush in sacking the Ghanaian coach in favour of Milo in the course of the AFCON qualifiers? Is AFCON more important than the World Cup? Why was Milo invited for talks before putting advert for others to apply. What is Milo's track record after parting company with Ghana in 2010? Is it fair for the FA to sack Kwesi Appiah, who gallantly stood in when Milo deserted Ghana for greener pastures elsewhere, and bring Milo back to replace kwesi Appiah whose track record is better after the two parted ways?
Milo is back and favoured by the FA, because in him, they find a foreigner who is corrupt and amenable to the FA's corrupt practices. They want a foreign coach who would agree to a financial arrangement that would guarantee a percentage of the agreed salary into a certain Bank account.
Milo was invited first to iron out this arrangement before other competitors were even thought of. The applications from other coaches is nothing but window dressing to throw dust into peoples eyes.
The people in charge of soccer administration in Ghana lack foresight, and Ghana soccer would continue to be in the doldrums if these criminals are allowed to take this country for a ride.
What the FA ought to do is to assemble all Licence A Ghanaian coaches for capacity building and courses overseas, and assign them the task of managing our national soccer teams. Ghana should never entertain the idea of engaging foreign coaches for our national teams. Nigeria has stopped hiring foreign coaches, and I'm confident that before we realized our mistakes, Nigeria would have gone far by building the capacity of their local coaches.
Ghana has won AFCON four times with local coaches in charge. No foreign coach has ever won the Cup in Ghana, so why the mad rush for them if not to perpetuate corrupt practices.
We can engage three of our local coaches to handle the Black Stars, and the money for one foreign coach can pay for the salaries of two or three local coaches in Ghana.
Why throw our scarce foreign currencies to foreign coaches, when we can use the foreign currency to upgrade our local coaches, and export some to train footballers in other African countries. The FA must be serious to upgrade and market our coaches on the African Continent, and put a stop to pettiness.
