  Not only for workers. In fact this MODEL is he way forward to absorb all those who passed the WAESS exams but could not get admissions into the universities due space constraints. The distance/online model together with the sandwich model, wherein students do part of the academic work on-campus and part off-campus, could help address the current problem of space in our few universities.

  This is pure lies. Students in the Upper East Region are made to attend lectures in Kumasi every weekend. Is this what you describe as distance education. All over the world distance education is supposed to be flexible, cheap and convinient. KNUST distance education is rather punishing their clientele. There are even instances where the KNUST distance education lecturers extort and take bribes from the students. This is how far our useless university education has brought us.
