Some churches are involved in all sorts of philanthropic activities. They bring a lot of foreign currency into the country for these purposes. However there are many churches, especially the Nigerian churches, which don't bring any foreign currency into this country. They are able to collect from their church members in cedis amounts of enormous proportions. They then buy US dollars or euros and then either transfer it to Nigeria through swift transfers or drive it from Ghana into Nigeria. Any Nigerian church involved in such activities must be shut down by the BOG.

Any Nigerian who wants to purchase foreign currency with cedis must be given Nigerian Naira or CFA Franc.

I hope the government is listening and it will take this in good faith. What is contained in the statement should not be news to the government, except that the government has been in denial for years. President Mahama keeps on making promises of paradise, yet cost of living goes up daily for most Ghanaians. A word to the wise is enough.

Then the second set of people come in on Saturday and Sunday dressed in their best clothes with Bibles in their hands to beat drums,sing dance,and worship God, then pay their thites and collections to the so-called men of God. The Christian Councli is totally wrong. The saying 'charity begins at home' works very well; if the church spends all the time to extort money from these poor congregation,they will have to steal from somewhere.

How on earth can the CCG blame government for suicides in church premises?. Do they give their tithe to the state which failed to use it to support those who hanged themselves at their premises?. If they wand the betterment of Ghanaian, they should abolish tithes and see whether the disposable income of their followers will increase or not. How can your followers pay taxes to the state and you ask them to further pay tithes and expect them to have better living condition? Stop double taxing your followers for them to have better life's.

The name of the Lord is strong tower the righteous runs into it and they are saved. The vulnerable, weak, poor, needy and dying all run to the church for help. Not just spiritual help but for the church to voice out their cries and demand. Where is the SDA church doing? This what I called Christianity in contemporary Ghana.... Let the patriarch speak.
