We are fed up with these strikes in serial. I wonder why an old man of the type who is leading organised labour always resort to strike to achieve an aim. This shows he is a failure. He lacks the skills to negotiate.

Who told you that was their motto? Is it in their manifesto? TUC is creating chaos in the country and we all suffer for it.

I am disappointed in the leadership of TUC. Must you go on strike at the slightest provocation, and it is even worse in this case since I see no provocation. We constantly blame the political leadership for incompetence, but I must say that these TUC leaders are not just incompetent, but lazy at it too.
Now let me ask you some questions Mr. Strike Happy Leader. Will Ghana make revenue when you go on strike? Will that give birth to your pension funds? Have you costed the demerit of strikes to this nation? Have you exhausted all avenues to get attention from the state? Have you considered taking the state to court to compel the state to pay the funds? Strikes are, and MUST be the very last thing to do when government is entrenched on issues that are bread and butter issues. For me, this potential strike and its scare are simply preposterous to say the least

Has the GETFund money been paid after the court ruling? What about Woyome's money? What about the Waterville money? Please check your facts. As far as I know, striking is the only language government understands.

Two weeks too long. It should be 3 days. It indeed beats my imagination why people's moneys should be deducted but will not be put to the use for which they were deducted. This leads to bribery and corruption.

The issue here is about illiteracy about the second and third tier pension by workers. The state is not supposed to nominate a fund manager and custodian for the fund. It is the duty of employees to nominate their own fund manager and custodian. If for instance you fail to nominate your own next-of-kin is it a fault of your employer who does not know your relatives or you.
The second tier will be paid to workers who will retire next year. Rather the question they and their leaders should be asking if the Bank of Ghana was given any authority to invest the funds. If that is the case I am of the view that the bank will be prudent enough to invest them in treasury bills that will yield some profit.
The problem is not with the state, but workers who failed to implement their part of the 2nd tier system.

John Mahama's uninhibited spending spree has made Ghana as broke as a church mouse. The IMF will have to bail him out before the pensions can be paid,if luck is on the side of the pensioners.
