There's strength in unity and it inures to development. However, we are yet to see how there can be development with a looting mentality driving gov't policy. It has never happened before and it would be a stretch to see it happening now. That itch needs to be scratched to create the platform for unity and development. It's not mutually exclusive and it's the hope of the masses that the NPP would unite in house so they can lead the effort to develop the country. For the NDC gov't there's a vote of no confidence. We would recall that in 1979 and 1981, that itch led to a military adventurism leading the country to the pits, until you came on the scene with a committed, knowledgeable, competent, visionary and focused team. The rest they say is history. It can be done and needs to be done by getting rid of the itch.

Looting by the NDC gov't in a policy of CREATE, LOOT AND SHARE is a unsustainable development model. It breeds diseases, filthy environment, a collapsed economy, an educational catastrophe, and an IMF bailout, where through no fault of hardworking Ghanaians, they are rendered redundant, eg People teachers who have been axed, unemployment, collapsing businesses on the back of higher taxes and utility bills which stimulates a slump in manufacturing and industry leading to further redundancy, and depreciation of the currency on the back of imports with it's attendant inflationary pressures. So you see, acts of thievery and looting can never bring about development and unite the masses. So fix the looting and thievery and unite and develop with the funds so generated so everybody is happy.

There's so much tribal sentiments which have developed into hatred and unless that's acknowledged and tackled,talk of unity for development is waste of time.
Anyone doubting me,must read some of the responses/comments to the statement above.That's the real issue and problem we face in this country.
It doesn't matter to most people whatever idea/suggestion one puts forward,as long as you don't belong to their tribe and they hate him/her,the responses are always insults ans condemnations.
Tell me how we can forge ahead as one people belonging to one country with so many unjustified hate filled in their hearts and minds.

In other words, power sharing only seems to become relevant when NDC is in power. Nobody talks about power sharing when NPP is in power. If the talk about unity only calls for NDC 'donating' some power to NPP, then forget it. By the way 'unity' like 'charity' should begin at home. NPP should show the way to UNITY by first trying to unite in their own home. The ball is squarely in your own court, ex-Pres. K4.
